“You can’t,” he pressed and actually looked fearful of the consequences that would fall upon all of us if I dared lay a finger upon the neck restraint. “This collar can’t be taken off. I can’t escape the Vile Queen’s clutches. Loki got that opportunity by luck. I, on the other hand, am not so lucky. You can request anything from me as a reward, Miss De Luca…but this.” He paused to shake his head in urgency. “You can’t get rid of this.”

“Didn’t you say we’re Sweet Domino?”my voice slurred as I purposely leaned in close. Everyone grew tense because no one knew what this alter ego of mine was about to do.

Heck, I didn’t know what the fuck I was about to do, and yet I was clearly encouraging it.

“One single domino can change the path of destiny,”I declared like it was scripture that carried immense weight.“You are now mine. That, Arthur Sephtis, is my request.”

“W-wait! You can—” Father Christopher tried to get up and rush between us, but Saint had the man in a chokehold in a second. “S-Shit! My Lord! Please! That collar can’t be removed! You’ll destroy everything here. No! For miles! The Vile Queen warned me herself! Arthur is under her reign. He can’t be saved. We all don’t deserve to perish for his impossible chance for freedom!”

The panic in his voice was simply music to my ears while the confirmation his words delivered was exactly why we allowed our trump card to come to fruition.

Arthur’s eyes widened with pure shock as my large hand now gripped the single chain that sizzled like a hissing snake that was ready to strike — shift to William completely unexpected to any of them.

No one moved or breathed as I stood there and prepared for the inevitable.

“See this face?” I began with my husky, domineering voice.“Remember it as the face of William Alundra Phoenix, the forbidden fucker who’s now the man you’re about to serve for the rest of your existence.”

Nothing could stop what happened next as the incantations upon my body burned with rooted intention. I was about to knock down the first domino in my path, and with this very move, the world would have no choice but to sit back and watch the inevitable.
