“I fixed it—”

“You’re nothing but a manwhore—”

“I can’t think about anyone else after meeting you!”

I gasped, and the tension was nearly unbearable as we glared at each other, only a small wooden table between us. Karl and Luka were silent on either side of me.Quinn groaned, then explained further.

“You’re … so incredibly strong, and Mother above it’s such a turn on. Your magick just does something to me … to all of us. I can’t explain it, but I’ve been fighting against it ever since I met you! Do you know how many other women I’ve railed just to try and get you out of my head?”

There was a pause, and my hands went over my mouth in shock. Was I supposed to be flattered that he’d slept his way around the world on my behalf?

Then suddenly Quinn’s hands were everywhere as he dove across the table. Quinn kissed me roughly—dominantly. My magick exploded from me, and then the table was gone. There was heat and a presence behind me, and then Luka bit the back of my neck hard enough to leave a mark.

I was in ecstasy. Karl hovered over the both of us, his hands tangling in my hair. I moaned at their attention, sinking into the sensations as if I could wear them like a second skin. And for once, I had no thoughts of stopping.

I was done thinking I wasn’t worthy, and that I didn’t deserve them. I’d spent my entire life running from men, fearing they would all be like those who bid for me … that they’d just want to take.

My men had already proved otherwise.

I gasped and fell back into Luka as Quinn’s hand found the underside of my breast and fondled it. Luka nibbled on my ear, even as Quinn continued to kiss me.

“Stop. Just … wait.”

Everything froze. With great effort, they moved away.

“What do all of you want from this? I won’t continue until we’re all on the same page.”

Karl answered first, immediately wanting to make up for his earlier loss of control. “I want you to be safe.”

“And happy, but mostly safe,” Luka added. I shot a look to Quinn, arching my eyebrow in question. He rolled his eyes.

“I don’t—I think your situation with Seth is abominable. I want to help you get out of the contract and make your own decisions.”

“I think we agree that our top priority is your safety,” Karl finished.

I shot a questioning look to Quinn, who nodded immediately. As did Luka.

“And what exactly would be the easiest way to ensure I’m safe?”

Luka’s mouth opened and closed uselessly, but Quinn didn’t hesitate.

“Complete the inheritance ritual. Immediately.”

Karl’s stoic look was agreement enough. I cringed but didn’t disagree. It made sense. It made sense. Then Karl leaned forward, one hand reaching for my shoulder.

“Aggie, please. Until you void the contract by losing your virginity, Seth could find you. He could take you. And we wouldn’t be able to stop him. I wouldn’t be able to stop him.”

The sorrow and regret in his voice was palpable, but more shocking was the ‘we.’

“We?” I sputtered, my voice an octave higher than normal. This couldn’t be real—three men were not seriously committing themselves to me. There was no way I could choose just one of them to break the contract! What if they fought over it? What if—

“But.”

My head snapped to Karl, hope flashing in my eyes.

“But what?” I whispered, leaning forward.

“If you don’t want to … void the contract, we can run. I will run with you, and I’m sure the others will as well.”
