“He sent me an image of you without a left eyeball.” Aggie admitted.

Karl flinched, and I couldn’t help it, I laughed. Karl gave a weak smile, but still wouldn’t meet Aggie’s gaze.

“I don’t deserve you. I’m a monster, and you deserve better.”

The tang of Aggie’s magick swirled as her ire increased, and fuck, it was arousing. I bit down on my front paw to focus.

“I am in control. I say who deserves me or not, and I want your teeth in my neck.”

Quinn made an odd squeaking sound, and even my bleeding paw wasn’t enough to stop my wicked thoughts at her dominating tone. I immediately shifted back into human form to hide what she was doing to me, slipping on my shorts in record time.

Karl put a hand on her neck and squeezed, his pupils wide and dilated. I seriously hoped Aggie knew what she was doing.

“Your familiar has permission to gouge out both eyes if I lose control.”

Aggie laughed, but I didn’t think the joke was funny. Aggie turned, shooting Quinn and I a glare.

“He trusted you when you were in wolf form. Give him the same courtesy.”

Shit. She had me there.

“Let me get closer in case I need to push him away. Please?” I begged.

That was reasonable, right?

Aggie nodded, and her magick released me with a whoosh. I moved to her back, and she settled into my lap and leaned her head back against my shoulder. Her exposed throat stretched in front of us.

“Between the demon cat and a wolf, I think we’ll be able to manage.” Aggie said succinctly.

Karl looked down, his desire sobering as reality settled back in.

“It wouldn’t be enough. Not if I truly lost control.”

A lump formed in my throat, and I knew how much it cost him to be that honest. What would I do if he lost it?

Nothing. There was nothing I could do.

“I trust you.”

I wasn’t ready, but Karl scooted forward and leaned down into our Aggie sandwich, his teeth sinking into her throat like it was hot butter.
