Luna skidded to a stop in front of me and grabbed my arm. “They’re taking her to General. We need to go right now.”

“She’s alive?” Oh my god. They had found Kerry, and she was still alive.

Luna nodded and dragged me toward her car.

“The bakery.” I wanted more than anything to go to Kerry, but the bakery was still open. Blain had gone home an hour ago, and Rue and Tracy had off.

“Go, go,” Meg urged. “We can finish up here and lock up. Don’t even worry about the bakery.”

“Okay,” I called.

I hopped into Luna’s car, and she peeled out.

They had found Kerry, and she was alive.

Chapter Twenty-Three

Zig

“Ram wants to see you.”

“Is there church or something?” I asked.

Gunner shook his head. “No. He just wants to see you.”

“Where?”

Gunner nodded to the garage.

“Did I not wash his bike to his standards?” I chuckled.

Gunner grunted and wandered over to the bar. “Go fucking find out.”

How fucking charming.

I stood and grabbed my cut off the back of the chair. I shrugged it on and wandered out to the garage. I had been trying to keep a low profile at the club and had been doing a good job of it.

Except now Ram wanted to talk to me.

“Yo,” I called into the dark garage.

“In the back,” Ram answered.

I made my way around two old cars that were in pieces and three bikes that were half built. The Sons of Sin didn’t care about each other and didn’t finish a job after they started it.

Ram was seated on a stool at a workbench with his back to me.

“You need something?” I asked.

Ram slowly turned around. He had a beer in one hand and a gun in the other. “Just need a few answers,” he growled.

I stepped back, and Ram pointed the gun at me. “Move one more step, and I'll put a bullet between your eyes like I did Brain.”

His words rocked me, and my feet rooted to the floor. Ram had killed Brain. But why? “Not moving, man.” I held up my hands.

“Do you know how much of a pain in the ass you are?” he asked.
