Her hands slid over my biceps, her eyes wide as she stared up at me with a love she could no longer deny.

“I can’t imagine not wanting to fuck you every time I look at you,” I whispered.

Her lazy smile came to life at the exact same time as her stomach rumbled as though it was the beginning of a very serious earthquake that would destroy everyone within its wake. We broke into laughter, with Hannah bunching her knees up beneath me as she pressed a hand to her stomach.

“If you plan on using my body for your own benefit, you could at least feed me in between.”

“I think I used your body for both our benefits, don’t you?”

“Fair,” she said, lifting her head to kiss me before she fell back against the pillow and pushed at my chest, rolling me off. “But that doesn’t change the fact that I need food, and so do you. My daughter, too.”

I grumbled in protest, mainly for effect, reaching over to the nightstand for the watch I’d taken off during the night. It was barely nine a.m., but it felt so much later. Sleeping in wasn’t exactly something I’d been good at, but with Hannah by my side, I could have spent all day tucked beneath the sheets, touching, and playing, figuring out what drew the sweetest moans and softest gasps from her before destroying her completely.

She moved around the room, picking items of clothing up, but when all she could find was my polo shirt, she held it up to me with a frown. “Where are your jeans?”

“I think you removed them when you dropped to your knees in front of me outside.”

“Oh my God. They’re still in the driveway?”

“Yours, too, somewhere.”

She pushed the fabric of my shirt to her face, burying herself in it before she shook her head and looked up again. Her cheeks were bright red, her eyes more alive than I’d ever seen them. “I’ll be right back.”

I hated that she’d disappeared, but I settled myself with the knowledge that she’d always come back to me now. We were in love, and nothing could change that.

By the time she returned, only ten minutes later, she’d changed into a pair of denim shorts and a plain white tee, yet she somehow looked more beautiful than ever as she ran a hand through her messy hair and held my jeans out to me.

“These were by the gates,” she said with a frown. “I swear you left them farther up the drive than that.”

I stood and made my way over to her, taking them from her hand and climbing into them, tugging them up my legs. “Maybe a coyote had some fun with them. Did you find yours?”

“Yeah, but…” Her eyes fell to the floor in thought.

“But what?”

She looked up at me again. “The key box was on the floor in the foyer when I went downstairs.”

“That was probably us when I carried you inside. I wasn’t exactly looking where I was going when I had your ass in my arms.”

“Good point,” Hannah chuckled. “I can’t believe I forgot to set the alarm. I never do that.”

“Sorry.” I smirked.

“No, you’re not.”

“Not even a little bit.” I winked.

With a soft roll of her eyes and shake of her head, she turned to walk away. “I’m going to check on Bella.”

I caught her wrist, quickly pulling her back to me for a lingering kiss that I couldn’t deny myself before I let her go, watching as she stumbled back on unsteady feet, her eyes still closed. I reached for my polo shirt and pushed it over my head and down my torso before Hannah’s eyes fluttered open again.

“Okay, now,I’m going to check on Bella.”

“You do that.” I grinned.

“See you downstairs.”

“I love you.”
