“Not even me?” Twice now he’s rescued me from my foolishness. Being alone with people I couldn’t trust wasn’t the smartest thing to do.
He runs his hand down my cheek, cradling my face. “You didn’t get in the way. You fell into my arms.”
“Where do we go from here?”
“To the shower, where I plan to wash and defile you again, repeatedly. Maybe we can visit the beach.” He rolls his eyes at that last part as if he has no intention of wanting to leave this beautiful villa. Still, we’re in a gorgeous getaway and we should enjoy it together.
“I need to get my clothes from my suite,” I say, looking toward the sliding doors that lead back to the beach.
“No. That’s been taken care of. Your suitcase and bags are in the front hall, and your room has been canceled.”
I whip my head back at him so fast I could have whiplash. “What?”
He just shrugs like it’s no big deal, and when I close my eyes and think about it, it’s really not a big deal. I’m in love with this man. I have been for the past four years, and he’s been telling me he feels the same way, so I’m glad we’ve moved past the hard part.
Smiling, I slide my hands up his chest. “You are something else, Cameron.”
“I’ve waited long enough for you. I wasn’t going to let anything stop me once I had my chance.”
“Now that you have me, what are you going to do with me?” His hands roam down to my ass, giving it a good squeeze. Shock and enjoyment shoot through me.
“Keep you.” He flips me onto the bed, pinning me down with a passionate kiss.
Chapter Five
Cameron
Today has been a wonderful first day of our honeymoon. She’s not pissed about the wedding, but I still plan to give her one. I just needed that damn ring on her finger and her legally mine. It’s insane how much I felt the pangs of jealousy in my heart, knowing damn well why she came down here. Elena wanted to have a fling with someone. She wanted to get over me. If I’d thought for a second that Elena thought I was with someone else, I would have squashed that shit. Although, she did say there was no way she could. Elena only agreed to dance with that asshole because I was watching and had a bunch of women wanting to buy me drinks earlier. I turned them down, of course, but she didn’t know that. No one could ever take her place in my heart or my bed.
We pull up to the shore after a day on a yacht. It’s getting late, so I promised her dinner and plenty more lovemaking. “You’re so damn gorgeous. I think we should have put a little more sunscreen on you, though. You got kissed by the sun a little too much.”
“Whose fault is that? Every time you put sunscreen on me, you’d find a new spot to lick and then the only cream I got on my skin was yours.”
“Sorry. I’ll take better care of you.”
“I wasn’t complaining, just straightening out the details. Besides, I’m not burned at all, although my lips do ache.”
“Oh yeah. Do they need my care?”
“Yes.” I slide my hands up her cheeks and into her hair, kissing her softly and then deepening it until she jumps in my arms.
“What the fuck?” a voice roars from the veranda of our villa. We both turn to see her brother staring at us. Shit.
“What are you doing here, Elias?”
“What am I doing here? I’ve been calling you for two days with no answer. Same with you, asshole. I call the hotel and they tell me that no one by the name of Elena Kostas is registered, but there is a Mr. and Mrs. King registered.”
“You registered us as Mr. and Mrs. King?”
“I thought I made that clear.” I kiss her temple. He can be pissed, but it’s adorable how surprised she sounds, like she hasn’t realized how fucking crazy I am about her.
“You haven’t made shit clear, except that you’ve been my friend only to fuck my sister.” He swings, and I don’t stop him. I take the punch, which causes my nose to bleed, but it’s cool because he immediately regrets it and my wife goes to tending to me.
“Watch your mouth on how you speak about my wife,” I say, taking out a handkerchief, but not my special one. That will stay put away forever. A framed treasure. “Now let’s go inside so I can get cleaned up and we can talk about this like adults.”
We walk into the house while Elena glares at her brother. “Calm down, love. Your brother’s only worried about you.”
“There’s nothing to worry about.” She grabs ice out of the ice machine that’s separate from the regular fridge and wraps it up with a kitchen towel.
