No longer hiding my presence I walk up the steps. The door opens right up, thanks to the keys. I have my gun out in case Ghost gets the drop on me but the only sound I hear is my girl’s puppy. Making my way room by room, I finally find him, he’s sleeping in her bed!
“Bastard! Thought you could steal my girl!” I yell but he doesn’t move.
“What is wrong with you?” I question, and then I see the pill bottle on the night table and start laughing. I can’t believe it, my girl is crafty. She drugged the bastard for me.
After putting on my gloves, I get a sedative from my bag. I don’t know how many pills he took. I need to make sure he stays asleep until I get him to my little hide away.
Giving the injection time to do its magic, I go on a cleaning frenzy. I don’t want anything left of Ghost in my girl’s home after I take him out. Tearing pictures from the walls, trashing furniture in case he sat on it, I even smash the dishes. I won’t let my girl eat off anything he has touched.
I find the pictures I’ve been sending my girl hidden in the back of a kitchen cabinet.
“I knew it! I knew you were hiding these, bad Ghosty.” I spread them around so my girl knows I’m the man that saved her.
I almost tossed her bathroom, too. But my girl needs her makeup to be beautiful. So I back off. The puppy has been hiding under the bed this whole time. I saw how much my girl loves him when she takes him out for walks. So I put him in the closet where he won’t get hurt.
Ghost is bigger than me, but we have the same training. I can lift a man twice my size. Flipping him over my shoulder, I head for the door. Oops, I dropped him. I ‘accidentally’ drop him a couple more times. This is fun!
Chapter 10
Fiona
Lily grabbed my cell phone and called my brother. He’s here now with a couple of club members. They think I am in shock but I’m not. I am planning. The club has resources I don’t, so I’m going to let them do the leg work.
After going upstairs, Blood and Timber have a conversation with Lily. I let Blood lead me out to his bike.
“Come on sis, I’m taking you to the clubhouse.” I don’t respond but I climb on the back of his bike. He places a helmet on my head before taking off.
When he gets to the clubhouse, he puts his keys in his pocket. However; when he turns to watch the other bikes pull in, I slip them out. He has no clue, even though he taught me that trick.
Leading me through the clubhouse, Blood takes me down a hall that I know has offices but he opens a door I have never been through before. This part of the clubhouse is completely off limits to anyone not a member.
To my surprise, Snake is sitting in front of a bank of computers.
“Fiona, tell Snake what the truck looked like.”
“It was a red Ford F150; it had a black bed liner. The back window was cracked. The plates were from out of state but I didn’t see them long enough to make out what state.”
