Seeing that we’re approaching one of my favorite spots in Nori Beach, I point it out to Lottie. “I need to get you on the back of my bike. Maybe we can take it for a ride over there for a sunset this week. It has the best views in town and is typically a locals’ spot.” Lottie nods enthusiastically as she checks out The Lookout and its surroundings.
My aunt used to take Trent and me there when we were younger.
Speaking of that punk, I couldn’t convince him to come fishing with us today. He’s still mad at me since I threatened him to not push Lottie for answers about her friend who ghosted him.
If she wants to talk to him about it, she will on her own, not because he pressured her.
Pussy-struck ass. Plus, he said he didn’t want to be the fifth wheel when all he can think about is the girl who keeps running out on him.
We’re cruising for a bit before Berkley speaks up, “Ooo you can see theYou’ve Got Mailmailbox from here. That’s another local secret The Lookout holds.”
That seems to interest Lottie. She looks over to the mailbox and then back at Berkley. “What is a mailbox doing in the middle of a beach cliff? Do people put things in there?”
“Yes, it's really neat. People put letters in there for others to find. Sometimes just random ones not intended for anyone in particular. People also put used books in there and use it as a book exchange. Basically, it's a free for all. I discovered the author Meghan Quinn that way because I found her bookThe Dugoutin there.”
Lottie squeals, “Oh man, you know the Towel Brigade, too. Aren’t they perfect?”Towel brigade? I don’t even want to know.
“Yes, girl!!! Yay, someone else I can gush to about romance books.”
Nate chimes in, “Are you talking about your book boyfriends again Babe?”
She giggles and says, “Lottie, we’ll talk more about that later.”
Book boyfriends, huh? I guess that’s better than real boyfriends.Fuck that Jonathan douche.
Lottie must remember our original topic as she says, “That is so awesome about the mailbox though. I definitely want to see that in person. I am not afraid to admit I’m a hopeless romantic thanks to my mom, and that mailbox just makes me believe in love even more.”
This would normally be a conversation I would zone out on, but with her, I find myself storing every little detail in the back of my brain.

We help Nathan and Berkley clean up the boat and unload everything. Nate agrees to clean the fish and have us over this week for dinner so we can all eat the fresh Mahi Lottie caught. He also assures her that the majority of our fish are going to the local shelter for their Friday fish fry.
Lottie gives them both hugs goodbye and thanks them multiple times for extending the invite today.
She takes my hand in hers as we walk, just like she did that first night we met. I lead her to the passenger door of my truck, opening it up for her to hop inside.
Before getting in, she leans into me and gives me the best hug I have ever received.
When she pulls her body off mine, she looks me in the eyes. “I’ve been coming here every summer for most of my life, and I have never experienced Nori Beach like this. Thank you so much, Grey.”
She is too damn sweet for me, but I can’t help wanting to taste her. Leaning down towards her beautiful makeup-free face, I kiss her mouth.
Thankfully, she opens up easily for me. Our tongues sliding over each other and igniting something intense between us. I feel her whole body shiver in my hold. Gripping the back of her head as she claws at my chest, our tongues continue colliding with each other in perfect rhythm.
There is nothing in the world like this kiss. It makes me want to give up everything, tell her all my truths, and hope that she’ll still want me.
Chapter Four
Thick,Creamy,andTan.
Lottie’s thighs in those cut-off shorts are a fucking distraction, which is probably why I am getting my ass handed to me in putt-putt. Her flowy shirt may hide some of her irresistible curves from me, but those shorts are giving me the best view. I can’t stop staring as she lines up to most likely sink another hole-in-one.
Missing this time, she stomps her foot and looks at me with a little pouty face.
Damn, why is she so cute?I want that bottom lip between my teeth.
“Chill, Tiger Woods, you’re still beating me by a long shot. How are you so good at this, by the way?”
