I mumble some words since my mouth is full of food, but it’s too delicious to care about the sight I must make.

“I think that’s pregnant woman speak for ‘delicious,’” Easton says, teasing.

I nod my head in agreement with his words.

So far things are looking good.

I really hope things work out for us.

Chapter Eleven

Easton

Having Holly move in has been the best decision yet. I know it has only been hours, but I feel like I know her so much more now that she is here with us.

She hasn’t had morning sickness since she has been with us, but she told us that she only got sick a couple of times and has been pretty lucky.

Everyone in the apartment is in the kitchen when I wake up at the awful hour of five in the morning. I really hope this isn’t a regular thing because this is way too early to function.

I plan to enjoy breakfast and then head back to bed; hopefully I can persuade Holly to join me.

Holly eats more than I thought she would have but, by the sounds and faces she’s making, she is loving every second of the breakfast.

“If you guys keep feeding me like this, I may never leave,” she says as she finishes her last bite.

“That’s the plan,” Dylan says with a wink.

Holly chuckles, but doesn’t say anything.

“Any chance you want to join me for a nap?” I ask Holly.

She smiles softly and nods her head. Dylan and Braxton give me a smirk, and motion me away when I try to help clean up. They know I can’t function well in the mornings at all, but if Holly wants to make this morning a regular thing then I would definitely get used to it just to be in her presence.

I follow Holly to her bedroom where she lays down already looking sleepy. I lay down beside her and wrap my arms around her. She hums softly, but it doesn’t take long for her to fall asleep.

I take a few more minutes so I can look at her.

She is very beautiful and we are lucky that she is giving us another chance.

I move my hand down to her stomach and rub her baby bump that’s there.

I can’t believe we are going to be parents. It doesn’t matter to me who actually fathered the babies. I will love them like my own.

It doesn’t take long for me to fall into a peaceful sleep.

I wake up a few hours later. Holly is sitting in the bed with a bowl of berries in her lap. She’s looking at her phone and laughing.

My arm is wrapped around her legs in a tight grip. I loosen my hold since she must be uncomfortable.

“Sorry,” I mumble when she startles and looks down at me.

“It’s okay. I was able to escape long enough to go to the washroom and, when I climbed back in, you latched onto me like an octopus. Dylan brought me a snack and drink, and took a picture. He and Braxton left for a few hours. They said they would be back after lunch.

I lift my head to see the time. It’s just after eleven. I slept for a while.

I blink my eyes a few times to wake myself up.
