I wink at him, and then turn my back to grab some liquor.
“What the fuck do you think you are doing, going out with him?” Easton hisses at me.
I shrug. “Just a fuck and nothing more,” I lock eyes with him so that he can see the pain in mine.
He winces and stumbles back. With a nod, he picks up his tray of drinks and heads back to the table.
“It’s alright, honey,” Chad says quietly so that no one can hear but me.
I look up at him in surprise. “What do you mean?”
“I get it. If you ever need me to be your pretend love interest again, you let me know,” he says with a shrug.
“Thank you,” I whisper.
“A girl like you shouldn’t feel the pain I can see you feel. I’m here if you need a friend.”
“A friend sounds good,” I say with a strained smile.
I could use one of those.
Chapter Two
Braxton
One month later…
Helen is pure evil. The last month has been pure hell.
Not one of us has touched her, but that doesn’t stop her from trying.
The only reason she is here is because of the baby, and she knows it.
We still haven’t figured out a way to get this to work. We don’t want her, but we can’t risk her killing Dylan’s baby. No matter what, it’s a part of him.
The pain I saw in Holly’s eyes the night after we slept with her was more than I could take.
Every night since then, she has been cold and only talks to us about work, no matter how much I try to bring up what happened.
She spends a lot of time with Chad, and I hate every second of it. From what I can tell, they are spending time outside of work together; but what can I do about it? She thinks I took back my ex and am fucking her every night.
She slipped through our fingers, and I don’t know if we can ever get her back.
I felt inside that Holly is the one for us, but Helen has such a tight hold on us.
“Get your fucking hands off of me,” I growl when the woman comes up to me in the kitchen.
“Awww baby, don’t be that way,” she says in a purr.
“I don’t know what kind of game you are playing, but we will find out. The only reason you are here is because of that baby. I’m never going to touch you again,” I snap, and storm out of the apartment.
Fuck.
What are we going to do?
Holly
The positive sign on the pregnancy test is the only thing that I can focus on. I took about ten tests, and they are all sitting on my bathroom counter.
