I can’t help but fall over in laughter.
“I don’t think they want to see what you are packing, honey,” his wife says. He looks at her, confused.
“Why not? They see me packing this big chainsaw, and they will be on their best behaviour,” he replies.
“Dad, no. Just stop,” Kyla says, struggling to keep a straight face.
“I’ll be sure to let them know,” Braxton says before turning to leave.
“Don’t just tell them! Show them what I’m packing!” Kyla’s dad shouts before Braxton shuts the door.
I look over at my best friend who is bright red.
“Family, got to love them,” I say, and she nods her head.
“Let’s finish getting ready,” I say, and help Kyla put on her dress. She had hired someone to do her makeup and hair, so we just needed to wait for the last minute to put the dress on since we didn’t want it to wrinkle.

My mouth falls open in shock at what Braxton is saying to us.
“He said that?” Asher asks, laughing.
“Yeah, I don’t think he realised what he was saying,” Braxton says, putting the chainsaw down and out of sight.
“Well, I wouldn’t expect anything different from him,” Levi says, chuckling.
“He didn’t waste an opportunity to tell us what would happen if we hurt Kyla again,” Grayson says, shaking his head.
“Well, let’s get ready. The girls are almost ready,” Ethan says, trying to sound confident, but even I can tell that he’s nervous.
We make our way outside where they have a beautiful place set up for the ceremony.
They all look happy as they wait for Kyla to walk down the aisle.
There’s a few guests, but it’s a pretty private affair for the most part. More people are invited to the reception. They just wanted the ceremony itself to be direct family and close friends.
I couldn’t be happier for my friends.
They had struggles to get where they are, and that makes this moment even more precious.
Their smiles widen when they see Kyla in her wedding dress. You can just see how much each of them love her.
It’s an amazing thing to witness.
I watch as they say their vows to one another, and show their love for all of us to see.
It’s fairly short, but we all clap and cheer when each one takes a turn kissing the bride.

There are already a lot of people at the place where they are holding the reception. Drinks are already out, and the caterers are getting the meals ready. Pictures were taken, but we came in ahead so the group could make their grand entrance.
“Wow, I didn’t realise that they invited so many people,” Holly says, looking around with wide eyes.
“I can see why they wanted the ceremony to be private,” I say while looking around the room.
“I think I want to do it this way too,” Holly murmurs.
