“Hello?” Kyla says, sounding tired.
“Have you heard from Holly?” I ask, getting right to the point.
That seems to make her more alert. “No, she went out with Logan today, but he came back hours ago after dropping her off. What happened?”
“We had a fight. Or should I say Dylan and Braxton yelled at her, and she packed a bag and left. She’s not answering any of my texts. I need to know if she’s okay.” I don’t care if my voice sounds desperate, something isn’t sitting right with me.
I hear her muffled voice asking someone if they heard from Holly.
“Logan says that he saw her walk into the building, but her phone is going to voicemail. The tracker says she’s at your building,” Kyla says.
I ignore the fact that this man has a tracker on my woman.
I run down to the front desk. They saw her leave here in a taxi.
When I look outside, I see her phone sitting in the flower pots outside of the building.
“Her phone was in the flower pots,” I tell Kyla, panicked.
“She would never do that,” Kyla says, sounding like she’s on the verge of panicking too.
I run to the elevator and back up to the penthouse to wake up Dylan and Braxton.
“Wake the fuck up,” I shout.
They both jump and look at me. It doesn’t bother me at all that I scared them. They should be scared.
“Holly is missing,” I say lowly.
“She’s probably with that man of hers,” Braxton hisses angrily.
“I don’t give a fuck what you think. She doesn’t have another man. Her phone was tossed outside, and no one knows where she is. She wouldn’t do that, especially pregnant. She would have at least called Kyla,” I snap.
“Did anyone call her brother?” Dylan asks, putting some clothes on.
“I’m going to deal with what I just heard later but, right now, my best friend is missing. Logan just called her brother and work; no one has seen her. We need to get access to the cameras outside of your building. Hopefully, we can see what happened,” Kyla says in a cool tone.
I hang up and call downstairs to get the tapes.
I may need to bribe a bit, but I will do whatever it costs.
Kyla and her men show up with some guy I don’t know. I’m guessing that the one I don’t know is Logan. My guess seems to be right when I look at Braxton and he’s glaring daggers at the man.
“What the fuck is he doing here?” Braxton hisses.
“Do I know you?” the man asks, raising an eyebrow at Braxton.
“You’re fucking our girl,” Braxton growls out.
Logan narrows his eyes at Braxton and eyes him up and down. “Let’s get things straight. First of all, that would be gross. She’s like a sister to me. Second, she wouldn’t ever do that to you. She was cheated on enough in the past that she swore she would never put someone through that type of pain. You obviously don’t know her if you think she is capable of that on any level.”
Braxton and Dylan still at his words.
“I’m guessing that you guys didn’t give her a chance to explain. I don’t blame her for leaving either,” Kyla says with a sigh, and then moves over to me.
“Do we have the video yet?” she asks me.
“It should be here any minute,” I say with a sigh.
