“I haven’t been with one guy; do you really think I could handle more than one?” I ask her in disbelief.
She laughs and shrugs. “You never know. You said that your bosses were good looking. Think about having all four of them worshiping you and giving you all the love and attention that I know you deserve.”
“You say it like they would be interested in little ol’ me,” I say with a sigh.
She looks at me like I’m crazy. “Well of course they would be! Seriously, have you not looked in a mirror? Damn girl. Those men would be crazy not to want you. You don’t even need to show off your hot body to grab attention from anyone you want.”
I blush at her statement. “I don’t have a hot body. Sure, I’ve got curves and everything but, since that one guy had seen my scar and freaked out like I was mutilated, what do you expect me to do?” I say rubbing my hand over the scar.
I’m not ashamed of it, but when I decided to try making out with a guy and he pulled off my shirt and saw it, you would think my body was ugly because of it. The scar is the symbol of the only thing that kept me alive. I don’t know what I would do if someone else were to react that way, so I haven’t bothered trying to find out.
“Honey, you are smoking, and some man or men will see that,” she states with a wink.
“Why do you keep saying ‘men’? Like it’s even a possibility,” I ask her in confusion.
“I think you deserve the most love in the world. Now show me your office so I can see how hot these men are,” she says waggling her eyebrows up and down.
I can’t help but laugh. We put our garbage away and walk across the street.
We link our arms together as we head into the elevator.
When the doors open, the sight of Ethan coming out of Asher’s office adjusting his shirt stops us in our tracks. I hear Holly whisper “Damn,” and I nod my head in agreement. Sounds like there might be some truth to those rumours.
“Ladies. Kyla, who is your friend?” he asks with a smirk. He doesn’t look the least bit embarrassed coming out like he just had a good time in Asher’s office.
“Oh, uh this is my friend Holly. She wanted to see where I work. I hope that’s okay?” I ask hesitantly.
He nods his head with a smile. “That’s fine. I’m Ethan. The others are just finishing their lunch,” he says with a wink, and I can’t help but blush.
The others come out of their offices and see who Ethan is talking to.
I feel Holly squeeze my hand. She then turns to me. “Holy shit- you weren’t kidding. They are hot,” she says a little too loudly for my liking. If possible, I turn even redder.
I look to see all of them smirk at Holly’s comment. “Well, I’m just going to go hide now,” I say and try to pull away from my so-called best friend. She tightens her grip on me so that I can’t go anywhere.
“Don’t be embarrassed. I have a hard time looking away too,” Grayson says with a grin.
“Alright. This is Asher, Levi, and Grayson. This here is Kyla’s friend Holly. She wanted to see where Kyla worked, but I’m guessing it was more to look at WHO her friend worked for,” Ethan says with a wink looking pretty smug.
“Damn rights. Now that I can see what she was talking about, I’ll leave you all to it. Kyla, drinks tonight. I’m bringing the wine. We have a lot to talk about,” she says looking at me with a serious face. I nod my head. Knowing her, she won’t let it go.
I all but push her into the elevator and she just laughs at me. When the doors close, I turn around. I’m standing there staring at the four of them and they are all grinning at me. I am shocked at the grin on Levi’s face. If at all possible, it makes him even more handsome. I can feel my knees get weak and I walk over to my desk on shaky legs to sit down before I embarrass myself.
I look up at them. “Is there anything I can help you with? Emails to answer or calls to make?” I ask trying to keep the nervousness out of my voice.
They snap out of whatever trance they are all in, and Ethan walks over to my desk. “So, what else did you tell her about us?” His tone of voice sounds lower somehow, huskier.
“Oh nothing. Just that you guys were, well…”
“Hot?” he asks with a questioning look, the smirk never leaving his face.
I nod my head not able to form words. My mouth feels dry, and my heart is beating like crazy. I don’t think I have ever been on the spot like this.
“Well, in all fairness, we think you’re hot too,” Asher says walking over to my desk and standing on the other side of me.
“Thank you?” I say in a small high-pitched voice. What is happening?
I feel a hand move the hair off my shoulder and I look up to see Ethan looking at me like he’s asking for permission without asking.
