“I think you made it my business when you decided to audition for a porn film in the room next to mine.”
With a gasp, her jaw drops. “You think I was faking it?”
“I think you were a lot more enthusiastic than the last time you were here.”
“Maybe I was more in the mood today,” she counters, her shallow breath making her breasts even more mouthwatering as I tower over her.
“And why’s that, Sunshine?”
The tip of her tongue slips out between her lips as she peeks up at me. Again. Tempting me. Teasing me, though she has no idea. I cage her in on both sides of her head, pressing my hands against the wall behind her and leaning close. Her air is my air. Her breath is my breath. And her scent? I want to rub it all over me. Commit it to memory. Mix it with mine until we’re one, and nothing can take her away from me.
“Tell me this,” I rasp. “Did you think of me when he took it off you?”
She gulps again, but I can see the truth in her timid eyes. She did. Meaning her sounds might not have been quite as fake as I’d been hoping. The realization only pisses me off more.
I lean closer, my upper lip curling as I press my forehead to hers, demanding her full attention. “Wanna know something, Sunshine? You can’t compare the two—me and him. You can’t imagine what it would be like to be with me while his dick is inside you. Wanna know why?”
“Why?” she whispers, the sound soft and breathy and shooting straight to my already hardening cock. It takes every ounce of willpower inside of me to keep from grinding it against her.
“It’s like I said. I’m always a gentleman,” I remind her. “And the asshole you’ve been sleeping with? He doesn’t care if you come or not. Does he.” It isn’t a question, but her cheeks heat nonetheless. “So, tell me,” I push. “Did you come?”
“It’s none of your business.”
“I think you did,” I decide. “But only because you were thinking of me. And if your imagination got you there tonight, wait ‘til I get my hands on you.” I push myself away from the wall and head to my bedroom. The same LAU T-shirt I first caught her wearing is folded on my dresser. I grab it, walk back to the hallway, and toss it at her. She catches it on reflex, exposing a glimpse of her chest before she curls the cloth around her again.
Her big blue eyes stare back at me.
“The sheets are tempting,” I rasp. “But I think I still prefer you in my T-shirt.”
I close the bedroom door behind me, leaving her in stunned silence, and pull out my dick to rub another one out while replaying our conversation and a dozen other scenarios where we wind up on the same side of the door instead of opposites.

COLT
“Have a good night?” Theo jests as Logan practically skips into the room with a shit-eating grin. One my hands are begging to wipe off his fucking face.
He reaches for an apple from the fruit bowl on the island, tosses it in the air, and takes a bite. “You could say that.”
“I thought Ash was staying home last night,” I say, pretending to scroll TikTok while every sense is acutely aware of Logan’s every movement.
Theo and Logan turn to me, confused. “Huh?”
I glance up from my phone. “When I was dropping off Mia, it looked like Ash was staying home. Why’d she end up coming over last night?”
With a shrug, Logan sits on one of the barstools. “Guess she changed her mind.”
“Yeah. We heard,” Theo jokes. “Guess whatever funk you guys were in was worked out?”
Logan chuckles, and his mouth turns up with an arrogant smirk. “You could say that,” he repeats.
“So, you won’t be screwing random women anymore?” I challenge, crossing my arms and leaning my hip against the counter as I stare down at Logan, daring him to lie to me.
He takes another bite of the apple, wiping the back of his mouth with his hand. “There a problem, Colt?”
“You know how he is,” Theo answers for me. “Ever since Brooke cheated on him in high school––”
“He’s been sensitive about this shit,” Logan finishes, continuing our little stare down. “Yeah. I know. Which is rich, coming from you.”
