He inched his face closer to me.

“Yes?”

I took a deep breath again. “I-Is it true?” I asked. A part of me still couldn’t believe my luck. It felt so surreal that I couldn’t help but wonder if this was only a dream.

“That I love you?” he asked, making me tremble even more.

Fuck.

Slowly, he leaned his face closer and held my hand tightly. “I do…and I’m sorry i-if I wasn’t able to say it earlier. I’m that I have caused you pain. It’s just,” He said in a trembling voice. My forehead creased.

He let out a heavy sigh. “I-It’s just that I-I was scared…I was scared that you haven’t moved on from your former mate yet,” he confessed and immediately looked away.

I gasped, and my mouth parted in shock. “W-What?” I asked in shock.

Is he serious? I moved on from Michael a long time ago!

Lucas sighed and turned to me again. “Celine, I’m sorry if I was a coward. I didn’t want to be between you and your mate.”

My eyes widened at his revelation. Oh my god, so he held himself back because he thought I was not over with Michael?

“Lucas, no…” I immediately shook my head. Then I cupped his face.

I felt a knot in my stomach as I caressed his jaw.

“No…I-I may not know why I was still having the pull even though the bond was already broken, but I-I will find a way to control this, to make this go away. I-I am still my own woman. And I am very much willing to find to stop this pull from controlling me. I don’t want to be with him, Lucas. I have no feelings for him. I have no business with Michael anymore,” I softly said as I felt my tears falling again.

Damn it. Just how much did I cry today? But I couldn’t seem to start these tears. I cannot contain the intense emotions I have for him.

“Fuck, Celine!” he exclaimed and pulled me to his chest. He hugged me tight, and I did the same as I buried my face in his chest. I was still crying, but that was because I was so happy. I felt the comfort and security in his arms.

“I’m sorry for being a coward, Celine, I’m sorry. Damn it. We will find a way for that, hmm? After all of these, we will find a way to stop that fucking pull. Damn it. I fucking love you,” he whispered again. That made me cry even more.

I didn’t know how long we were in that hug, but I enjoyed every bit of it. I just wanted that moment to last forever. I wiped my tears, and we met each other’s gaze again. My lips parted slightly as he cupped my face.

I surveyed his face while he looked at me intensely. I gulped hard and was about to say something when he gently pulled me in for a hot kiss. It reminded me of the kiss that we shared in the living room. That kiss was different from this one because this one was hotter and more passionate.

This time, I could feel his feelings as we kissed. It was exhilarating. I could feel the intensity of his emotions every time he moved his lips and every time I gasped for air.

I felt like my body was on cloud nine when he nibbled my lips. Slowly, I parted my lips to give his tongue better access. I almost held my breath when he started savoring every inch of my mouth with his tongue. My skin trembled at the electrifying sensation that I was feeling.

I circled my arms on his neck, and he tilted his head so he could kiss me more. I moaned when I felt his tongue explore the deepest secrets in my mouth. His kisses were maddening; it was gradually sucking all my sense of logic. All I could ever think was how delicious his lips tasted.

I moaned when his soft lips started to go down my jaw, raining wet kisses as he slowly pushed me to the bed. Shit. I tightly gripped his hair when his mouth went to my neck, licking and sucking it.

“L-Lucas,” I moaned again, especially when I felt him parting my legs.

“Damn, Celine…” he panted before planting a kiss on the valley of my breast.

I could feel the softness of his lips against the rough material of my t-shirt.

“Hmm…a-ahh…” I moaned deliriously.

I felt his member poking in my stomach, actively revealing how much I have turned him on. I moaned against his lips when his hand smoothly caressed my thighs.
