A lot of omegas were there already. They were all busy doing their own thing, so I did mine. I tied my apron and was about to work when someone stopped me.

“What?” I asked Jane.

She bit her lip. “Uhh, I can do it already. You don’t have to,” she said.

I raised a brow at her. “I can do it too. This is my part of the task here.”

“But-”

“I said I’m fine,” I cut her off.

Another thing that has been bothering me for days now was how the omegas and other warriors treated me like a fragile she-wolf who needed all the help. Damn it. They won’t even let me handle a thing. I have no idea why they were acting like that. They’re adding up to the irritation that I have for Lucas. If they keep this up, I might just lash out at them.

I shook my head and just focused on my job. There were many of us in the kitchen, but Lucas also requested a lot of dishes, so we were basically doing everything in double time. Beads of sweat were falling on my face already as we were about to finish plating the dishes.

“Everything ready?” Leila asked to which I nodded. “Good, okay, let’s start moving them to the dining area,” she ordered, and as if on cue, the other omegas went to get the dishes already,

I heaved a sigh and stretched my arms as well. I fixed my apron and myself before following them to the dining area. Everyone was cheering and applauding the victory of our troops, who were able to defeat the opponents and convert many rogues. For the past few days, each pack - Blood Moon and Crest Moon - have been doing their businesses. Just like what Crest Moon was doing, we have been trying to convince as many rogues as possible to be in our pack. Other than that, we have also been trying to persuade other packs to join. The goal didn’t stop even when Lucas was giving me cold treatment. Tsk.

Speaking of that, I looked at him again. He was smiling and was still talking to the other warriors. Tsk. That just made me frown in irritation. This guy is unbelievable! Tsk.

“Get those drinks here already,” I heard Leila say to the other omega. I composed myself and just went there to help.

“It’s okay, Celine, we can do it already,” Jane said, but I shook my head.

“Let me help. I have no other things to do anyway,” I said and just grabbed what she was holding.

We were busy serving the Alpha and the other warriors while they kept on applauding the win.

“Wow, these foods are delicious,” I heard Beta Darius say when I went near him to give him some refreshments. He kept glancing at me, so I just smiled at him.

“Did you make these, Celine?” one of the warriors asked.

I shrugged. “It was a collective effort,” I said.

Both of them nodded. “Still, it’s delicious. Right?” Beta Darius turned to the other warriors.

“Yes! These foods are delicious, Celine!”

“True!”

They almost said in unison. I just gave them a small smile before I nodded. Darius smirked even more. Then I saw him looking in Lucas' direction. My eyes followed his line of vision, and I almost jumped when I saw that Lucas was looking at me, too.

Now what? I wanted to ask him that, but I tried to contain myself. I did not back down from his gaze this time. Seconds later, he was the one who withdrew his stares. It was then followed by Darius’ chuckle, so I immediately looked at him.

He was shaking his head while still having that freaking smirk on his face. My forehead creased. I looked back to Lucas again; he was already talking to some other warriors again. I saw him stand and go to the other omegas as if we didn’t just stare at each other. I gulped hard and fisted my palm.

My irritation just got worse as I watched him talk with almost everyone in the room. This is so annoying! I couldn’t take this anymore. I gave out a deep breath before marching toward him. His smile faded the moment, and I grabbed his arm to make him face me.

“What?” he asked, confused.

I gritted my teeth even more.

“Let’s talk, Alpha Lucas.”

And with that, I dragged him out of the dining and went straight upstairs, not even caring if the whole pack was watching us.
