She blinked multiple times. “U-Uhh, we n-need your help,” she said anxiously. My forehead creased.
“What? Why? What time is it anyway?” I quickly looked at the clock on the wall, and my eyes widened when I saw that it was already way past our call time! Shit!
I immediately got out of bed and ran outside the quarters. There, I saw some of the omegas in chaos. I briskly went to them to find Leila, not minding if I looked disheveled.
“Celine!” Leila, who was outside the mansion, called. I ran towards her.
“Why didn’t you wake me up?! I whispered,” she took a deep breath before looking around. She then pulled me near her.
“You were so tired and pretty hurt, so I decided to give you time, but the Alpha went berserk earlier.”
My eyes widened. “What? Why?”
“Because you’re not the one who made his breakfast!”
My mouth parted in shock. What the hell? “Will he even notice that?”
Leila rolled her eyes. “Well, unfortunately, he did!”
My jaw dropped, and I massaged my head. Oh my gosh, what the heck?! I looked at the servants behind Leila, and they were all uproarious. I held my chest and looked at Leila worriedly.
“What should we do? Is he done eating or something?” I was nervous as well. I could feel my heart pounding so fast already.
“The other servants said he lashed out when he realized you were not the one who prepared his food. He’s with the Warriors, but he’ll probably go back later. So I want you to prepare his lunch now before he returns. Damn. You also need to show up later and fix yourself!” she said and looked at me from head to toe.
I nodded at her.
Shit, why did the Alpha act like that?
Leila observed the surroundings before urging me to return to our quarters to prepare myself. I sighed and nodded at her before hurrying back to the quarters. I prepared my things as fast as I could. I took a bath and endured my aching joints and muscles. After taking a bath, I fixed myself in a hurry as well. I looked at myself in a small mirror that Leila provided. When I thought I was already okay, I immediately went out of the quarters.
I found Leila together with the other Omegas in the Mansion’s kitchen. It seemed that they were already starting the preparation. Leila saw me and signaled me to come in. I nodded and went to her.
“Do your best dish and be your best self. You don’t want the Alpha suspecting or something,” she whispered.
I narrowed my eyes. “Why would he suspect?” Leila looked around again, making sure that it was just us. She heaved a sigh and brought her face closer to my ear.
“Don’t be too complacent. Among all the werewolves here, the Alpha has the strongest senses. He’s also very intelligent and observant, Celine. We should not let our guard down. Do you understand?”
I let out a sigh. “Okay. I will,” I said, nodding.
Leila seemed to relax because of that. “Okay, let’s prepare his food now.”
“Alright,” I assured her and finally went back to the kitchen. I tied my hair and started preparing lunch for the Alpha.

“Are we all set?” Leila asked.
“Yes. We are,” I answered confidently.
“Good, let’s go now,” she announced.
We put all the dishes on the pushing cart, so we could finally deliver them to the Alpha. As usual, Alpha Lucas was waiting already. I felt uncomfortable when I realized that his eyes immediately darted toward me. His gaze remained on me as we approached him.
Why do I feel like something is going on? There was a knowing look in his eyes that I couldn't fathom.
Shit, I couldn’t help but become paranoid. Did he finally discover my secret training with Leila? Damn it.
