She turned her chin up at him, but from her peripheral, she watched him slip out what she could now see was a paperclip, from his mouth.

Unconsciously, she turned her attention back on him. What was he going to do? Now that he had her gaze fixed on him again, as if he had orchestrated the move himself, without missing a beat, he pressed the paper clip against her thigh, then turned it around.

He used the fabric of her yoga pants to dry it after it had been in his mouth.

A hot, disturbing flush erupted from under her skin. She didn’t understand why that utterly bold and very dirty move made her feel so hot.

“Your brothers informed us we’d be dealing with a hostile.”

“Hostile? You’re calling me hostile because I have no clue what’s going on?”

“These are the rules for your stay here with us,” Rowan began, ignoring her incredulous expression. She whipped her attention up to the tall man standing before her, looking down at her, down with full-fledged annoyance etched into his ruggedly stunning face. Power and dominance radiated off him like beams of light. Touch them and she’d get electrocuted, she was sure.

He wore his scar proudly. The men she knew, besides her own brothers, would have it covered up. He couldn’t care less. Not about his scar or the fact that he was magnificently beautiful in a powerfully scary way. Like a sexy beast.

God help her she had to get back on track.

Rules.

He had said rules.

Whatrules?

Whatstay with them?

Rules were meant to be followed. She was inept at following rules. She was an heiress. It was a perk that came with the title.

Why were they giving her rules in the first place?

Narrowing her eyes, she cast her gaze at all three of them.

Rowan. Cameron. And finally Lawson. If Rowan thought she was an inconvenience, and Cameron thought she was easy to tease, Lawson, on the other hand, had zero interest in her at all. In fact, no, it wasn’t just indifference, it was pure dislike. Why? She had never done anything to him in her life to warrant that reaction.

What planet had she landed on with these three guys?

And why?

Chapter Three

“Follow these rules, and we’ll all be happy and get along fine. Don’t, and you’ll suffer the consequences.”

“What are you talking about?” Sienna cried. It was all too much. Nothing made sense, and it was starting to feel like the whole world was watching her get pranked. Except it would mean her brothers had orchestrated it, and they were way too busy to prank her. No, this was serious.

Cameron leaned over her, then very cockily straightened the paper clip and inserted the end into the keyhole of the cuffs. His nearness fried her brain cells. She couldn’t comprehend what Rowan was saying anymore.

“Since you’ll have no clue how to do anything else regarding the ranch and the cattle, or the horses even, you’ll be up at four to make us coffee and pack our lunches.”

By then Cameron had already freed her, and as he stood up, he gave a casual salute and another killer smile while he swirled the cuffs around his index finger.

She was tempted to roll her eyes at him instead of thanking him and decided to do neither only because Rowan had started talking again.

“You’ll clean the house; do the laundry; feed the dogs; cook our dinner. You’ll clean the chicken coop; feed the hens; collect the eggs. On Wednesdays, you’ll hose down the barn. On Fridays, you’ll—”

“What? No. First of all, I don’t cook. I don’t clean. I’m allergic to dogs, and did you say chickens? I don’t think so. What I do think is there is some misunderstanding somewhere along the line. I’m not who you were expecting. So, thank you for removing the cuffs,” she said begrudgingly to Cameron. “But, I’m going to tell the pilot to take me back home. It was nice seeing you all, by the way. I’ll be sure to pass on your regards to my brothers.”

The plane was very spacious, naturally, but the way they filled the space made her skin burn. Throw in their silence as they glared at her, and she wanted to start fidgeting at once like some shy schoolgirl.

“Okay, bye now,” she said, then waved her fingers at them. They didn’t move. “Okay, this is getting a bit awkward, but can you please get off my plane?”
