I roll my eyes. We’re not getting anywhere. “Why did you sleep in here then?” His eyes open, and those intense hazel eyes lock with my turquoise ones and hold me captive.

Slowly, he extends his arm toward me and gently caresses my face, brushing my dark hair behind my ears and pushing my bangs out of the way. “Because you’re in here. We may not have much time together, but I want to be near you during the time we do have.” Holy shit. I wasn’t expecting that answer. My lips part, an electrical wave shooting through me. I feel drawn to him, like I’ve never felt to anyone before. What the fuck is wrong with me?

This isn’t going to end well for me, that’s for sure.

I ask the lingering question that’s been burning on my tongue, “Are you guys going to kill me?” holding my breath as soon as the words come out.

He continues stroking my hair, not missing a beat when I ask the question. His eyes hold mine, and I search for answers but find none. His eyes reveal nothing.

With a heavy sigh, he replies, “No, butterfly. We’re not going to kill you.” I know his answer is genuine, but that doesn’t sooth the knot that’s forming in my stomach.

“Then why did you kidnap me? There’s going to be people looking for me.”

King lets out a full belly laugh, completely shocking me. This fucker is actually laughing at me! My eyebrows pull together in a scowl.

“My little butterfly, we both know that’s not true.” His hand moves to my waist and quickly I’m rolled onto my back, and he’s hovering over me,again, resuming our position from last night. He pins my arms above my head and leans down to me, placing a single kiss on my lips.

His lips are plump and totally fucking perfect. They’re soft, and in an instant, my body ignites in a flame. I want to feel his lips skim over every inch of my heated skin.

My legs spread automatically and he lets go of my hands long enough to grab my legs and wrap them around his waist, his hips pushing against my sex so I can feel his cock already growing against me.

I’m wearing thin pajama shorts, with panties that I know are already wet. His calloused hands slide up my legs and inside of my shorts until he’s grabbing handfuls of my ass, kneading my cheeks like dough while pulling my hips roughly against his. My toes curl, and fuck, I am fucking turned on and want him more than I ever wanted anything right now.

I need him like my next breath. I’ve completely lost my fucking mind.

Our lips move in perfect sync, my moan vibrating against his lips as he continues kneading my ass. I feel a phantom of his teasing finger sliding up to my pussy lips. We’re so lost in each other, consumed by our lust, that I don’t notice when the door opens.

A raspy clearing of a throat makes me freeze, my eyes snapping open to see King staring down at me with amusement. Craning my neck, I look around his large build to look toward the door.

Deep brown eyes stare back at me.

Eli shakes his head from where he stands in the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest. “Get up, breakfast is done.” With a chuckle, he steps inside the room and picks up the t-shirt from the floor and throws it at King, who has already rolled off of me and is lying beside me with a very visible tent in his boxers.

“You’re a fucking cockblocker,” King groans, grabbing the t-shirt and quickly sitting up to pull it over his torso.

“Cover yourself, I don’t want to see your dick,” Eli grumbles with an eyeroll. King laughs and climbs out of bed, retrieving his sweatpants from the floor and pulling them on.

“Then you should’ve given me time to take care of it.” He looks at me with a wink. “Rain check, I’ll have to eat you later. Let’s go, butterfly.”

Before going downstairs, King and I stand side by side in the bathroom at the double vanity, brushing our teeth and washing our face. We’re becoming very fucking domestic.

In the light of day, I’m able to take in my surroundings as he leads me downstairs. We’re in a cabin, and I know if I look outside, I’ll see that we are in the woods.

Great, we’re at least an hour outside of town. Away from anyone. It’s just the four of us.

Fuck. My. Life.

Even if I do have a chance to run away, I’d likely get lost. I’ve never been this far outside of the city. I don’t know my way around. But I can’t let that stop me. I must find a way to get out of here.

King must’ve sensed my distress, because he wraps an arm around my shoulders and leads me into the kitchen where Eli and Rowen are laughing about something. Rowen’s laughter quickly dies down the moment I enter the room.

Okay, weird.

King pulls a chair out for me and I sit while he takes his seat right next to me. He takes an empty plate and loads it with food, then sets it down in front of me, placing a kiss on my temple.

Hmm. This is too weird.

“You two look awfully cozy.” Rowen’s cold emerald eyes meet mine from across the table. His eyes are such a vibrant bright green, and vaguely they look familiar. I’m positive that I’ve seen those rare glowing eyes somewhere. He’s familiar, but my mind isn’t the same anymore.
