“No, far from it,” she barked. Krawl puffed out his chest, his cock swelling from below. Pamela’s eyes darted lower. Her eyes dilated until she cleared her throat to look straight at her mate in the eyes. “There are a few things I wish to discuss before we go further.”
“Krawl still gets to chase his mate?” He licked his lips, stepping forward. Pamela held out her hand, shaking her head.
“Hold up there, buddy. That’s what we need to talk about.” Krawl raised his brows and stepped back. “I’m not having this Krawl character claim me, and I will not have my mate talk in the third person. It’s disturbing, and I don’t like it. If you want to do it with your friends, that’s fine, but before there is any claiming, you will do so in the manner of our ancestors.”
Enzo’s alternate, drunk personality disappeared, his eyes of playfulness now softening with a hint of loss. “Of course, my mate,” he cooed, bowing before her. “I’m sorry if that upset you. I’m quite excited. My wolf has been howling all day that today is the day. I may have celebrated too hard with my pack.”
“Celebrating before you have even claimed your mate? Counting your chickens before they hatch? Who said I was going to accept?” Enzo scowled, stepping forward. Pamela snickered and stepped away from the blackberry bush in a challenge. “As you know, I’m a sigma, and you are an alpha, an unheard of pairing.”
Enzo’s body stilled, watching her long hair of Pamela sway backward. Her pale body, with the combination of her pink nipples, had him salivating. Gulping the giant wad of spit in his mouth, he nodded. He wasn’t about to deny his mate what she wanted, especially with the small tuff of hair shaped into a heart dyed purple.
Pamela crossed her arms, leaning to one side on her leg. “Like what you see?” Pamela’s hand waved below the waist. Enzo only nodded, his fangs descending. “Then you listen,” she snapped, causing him to look her in the eye.
“I’m worried about how I will handle your pack.” Her voice softened. “I’m not used to the dynamic, and I’m not used to having so many voices in my head.” Her voice muted. “I’m not sure if I’d be the right luna for you. I’m not submissive. I’m demanding, and sometimes I need time to myself.” Her voice wavered.
Enzo shook his head in disbelief that a sigma would try to deem themselves less than. “And you question the goddess?” Enzo came forward, reaching his hand out to his mate. Taking it gladly, they both feel the sparks hover over their bodies. Pamela’s nipples tightened as he squeezed his large hand in hers.
“I’ll be with you every step of the way. Sure we will have our differences but isn’t that what makes a relationship fun? I’m not one for something boring, and it doesn’t look like you are either.” He trailed his eyes up and down her body as she blushed.
“I guess you’re right,” she muttered. Enzo pulled her body flush against his, his cock brushing her stomach. Pamela’s urge was strong to take it in her grasp, but who was she kidding? She was still a virgin, and she was worried she’d break the thing in her grip.
“I won’t break that easy.” Enzo growled, nipping at her ear. “And I’m sure you aren’t as delicate as you look.” Pamela smirked, pulling away from him.
“In that case.” She rolled her eyes. “Do we finish this thing or what?” Flipping her hair back, her body began to break, and Enzo’s eyes gleamed with mischief.
“Glady,” he boomed, chasing her off into the darkened woods.
Christine
I screamed as I jumped out of my coma-like state. My hands reached for the one person who would make me feel safe: Sebastian. His face was full of worry. He pulled me to his bare chest, calming me with his touch.
“Shit, are you all right?” I nodded to him, letting out a breath of alcohol. I panted, seeing that the darkness outside still lingered.
“I felt like I was falling, and I woke up, some crazy dream I can’t even remember,” I rambled. Sitting up, I pushed my legs over the bed for Sebastian to pull me back.
“Did you dream anything?” He pressured me, and his concerned look only had me shake my head.
“No, I passed out from drinking too much, I guess. I’ve got a bad headache.” I rubbed my head delicately. Biting his lip, he picked me up, and I squealed as he carried me to the bathroom.
“Why do you vampire and werewolf people carry their mates so much?” I chuckled, still feeling the pounding in my head.
“Mate thing.” He shrugged his shoulders. My body relaxed, and the icky sweat I had on my body made me crave a shower. Placing two pills in my hand and a large bottle of water, I downed the entire thing in one go.
“Shower.” I moaned, pointing to the glass doors. “I need it. I stink.”
“You don’t stink,” Sebastian grumbled, pulling my ass to the edge of the counter. “But if you wish, you can take a bath. I don’t need you falling over from all the drinking you did.”
“I didn’t drink that much,” I half-slurred while he gave me a pointed look.
“Right, whatever you say,” he mumbled, filling the tub with salts and rose-smelling oil. “Bella, I need to ask you a question, and I need you to be honest with me.” My head cocked to the side, my hand reaching out for Sebastian’s.
“Have you had any more dreams of Wyatt?” I pouted my lip, shaking my head. “No, just that one time. Why?” Sebastian shook his head, pulling my clothes from my body. Instead of being greeted with lust in his eyes, he delicately pulled me to his chest and sat me in the water.
“Join me?” I reached for his arm, tugging him slightly, but he shook his head.
“Oh, I want to, believe me,” he muttered. “But there is something I must ask you.” Biting my lip, I leaned forward to kiss him. Sebastian deepened it, his hand threading through my hair and pulling on the back of my head. The water sloshed in the tub when I pulled him lower to my body, his bare chest resting on my nipples.
He let go reluctantly, we both panted, and his grip did not loosen from the back of my head. “If I asked you to change, to become like me, would you want to do it? Be honest with me.” Fear sat in the back of his eyes, my heart racing along with his.
