Chapter Twelve
It was a few hours until we could get a flight to Minnesota, so we decided to grab a hotel room to get some rest before taking an Uber there. Adam wanted to take me out on the town but I felt kind of exhausted from all the moving and packing and driving, so I just wanted to rest in the hotel with him, and cuddle. He was also happy to rest his leg.
This trip has been surprisingly emotionally exhausting, and I’m so grateful that Adam is coming home with me. Having him nearby has definitely helped to ease the stress.
“Tell me what your job is,” I ask him sleepily as we lie snuggled up together in bed.
“I kind of told you the first night we met,” he answers.
“You said all kinds of things,” I remind him.
“True. Well, I meant the part about running a charity. I organize charities and fundraisers for a living. Things are always busy this time of year, so I guess that’s part of the reason I crashed—literally and figuratively. It has been really relaxing and rejuvenating to spend time with you, Eve.”
“Are you going to have to go back to your life soon?” I ask him, drawing circles on his arm.
“Probably, but if you want, you can also be a part of my life,” he says. “I hope you’ll want that.”
“Can you work from Minnesota?” I ask him.
“Partially. I will have to travel sometimes for events, and to see my family.”
“Of course,” I tell him. “I just don’t know how much of all the romantic shit you say is jokes, and how much is real.”
“It’s all real,” Adam says, turning to the side and kissing me. “Do you want me to show you how real?”
“Yes,” I answer with a smile, kissing him back. “Especially now that we have those candy-cane colored condoms.”
He groans. “I cannot believe that was the only type the gas station had. Only in Alaska.”
I shrug. “Not much to do around here! I guess when everyone heard about the storm, they bought all the condoms that weren’t hilarious.”
“Can I can make a candy cane condom look sexy instead of hilarious?” Adam wonders. “Challenge accepted!”
“Anything would look sexy on your candy cane,” I tell him huskily, sliding my hand down to feel his size. I have beendyingto have sex with this man, and everything seems to be getting in the way. But I think that we might finally have the stars aligned.
“Well,” Adam says as he kisses my neck, “I think we’re about to find out.”
“I’ve only been waiting forever.”
“Forever? We just met a few days ago,” he responds between kisses, as he removes my clothing and starts to massage between my legs.
“But we survived a huge blizzard, and a plane crash, and power outages. It feels like longer than a few days,” I tell him, as I fumble with his pants.
“It does,” he agrees. And then he looks down at the splint on his leg. “Dammit, that stupid thing is in the way. I should take it off.”
“It’s necessary for you to heal,” I tell him, pinning him down on the bed. “Besides, we can just do it like this.” Sliding down his boxers, and lowering my face to his boxers, I take his cock into my mouth. I move my head up and down on his shaft, teasing him all the way with my tongue.
His hips buck at the sensation. “Eve,” he groans, reaching down and grasping my hair. “That feels so fucking good.”
Hearing the arousal in his voice and feeling his cock twitching with pleasure in my hand causes my own body to grow wet with excitement and anticipation. I continue to suck on him until he grasps my shoulders and stops me.
“That’s enough of that,” he says gruffly. “I want you.”
“Yeah?” I say coyly, sliding over him so that he can feel how wet I am.
Adam exhales a shuddering breath. “Eve, you feel so good. I wish I didn’t have to use the damn condom. I just want to feel you.”
I freeze a little. “Are you sure? I guess—I’m not at a fertile point in my cycle. Maybe you could pull out?”
