“God, that’s the best thing I’ve heard all day. Let’s go home, baby. I’ll prove how much I love you.” Hadley pulled her up from the chair and kissed her sweetly. “Whatever you decide to do with Brandon, just know, you have access to my lawyers. I’ll pay for everything.”
Raya grinned and threw her arms around Hadley. She wasn’t sure what the future was going to hold, but she knew Brandon wasn’t going to be a part of it.
“Okay. I’ll think of a plan for my cheating ass husband later. I want you to take me home and make me forget everything I saw on that computer.” Gathering her purse, she threw the strap over her shoulder. Just as they turned to leave, the door burst open.
“Where’s my wife?” Brandon roared, striding into the room.
“You can’t just barge in there!” Micah screamed, racing into the room after him, with a familiar figure entering behind her.
The guy from the elevator.
Raya knew he looked familiar. Now it was coming to her. He was a work friend of Brandon’s. His name escaped her at the moment…Lance? Nick? Fuck, she couldn’t remember. He must have called Brandon and told him he saw her in the building.
“What the hell is the meaning of this?” Hadley snapped, moving to stand in front of Raya.
“I’m here for my wife,” Brandon demanded, stopping in the center of the room. He was dressed in jeans and a dark shirt. His hair was longer than he usually kept it. A shadow of a beard was present, which was definitely not his style.
“Do you want me to call security, Ms. Hamilton?” Micah looked scared, as if this would cost her her job. Deciding on her own, she spun around and walked out the room with her cell phone to her ear.
“You aren’t here for anyone. Did you forget the contract that was signed, Brandon?” Hadley stood her ground. Her voice was low, and if Raya wasn’t mistaken, she even growled. The woman had bigger balls than most men. It was no wonder she was so successful.
“I’m sure there’s a loophole. I’ll pay back the money, Hadley,” he snarled. Moving around Hadley, he held out his hand. “Let’s go, Raya.”
Raya stared at it, blinked, and held up her finger. “Hold on.”
Walking back over to the computer, she turned the monitor around for the entire room to see.
“Were you thinking of me when you were fucking her?” Raya asked quietly, meeting Brandon’s eyes. His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down as he swallowed hard. She clicked on another video. “Or how about when you fucked this one?”
“You told me you wouldn’t show her those,” he growled, swinging to face Hadley. “We had an agreement.”
“I didn’t. Raya found them on her own, snooping through my computer.” Shrugging, the cool businesswoman stared at him. “Now, remove yourself from my building before I have you thrown out.”
“Raya…” Brandon ran his fingers through his hair. “Baby, I can explain. Just come home with me—”
“I’m not going anywhere with you,” Raya interjected, walking toward Hadley.
“Let’s go, Brandon.” The elevator guy stepped forward and placed a hand on Brandon’s shoulder.
Brandon hollered, “Get off me, Nolan! I’m not going anywhere without my wife!”
Holding up his hands, Nolan backed away.
“Go home, Brandon.” It was sad to see her husband fall apart, but she didn’t feel sorry for him.
Three burly security officers rushed into the room, each looking as if they were linebackers for a professional football team.
“Is there a problem?” the first one asked.
“Yes, Bill. Mr. White is trespassing. Please escort him off the premises before I decide to press charges.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Bill said. They encircled Brandon and pounced on him. He was no match for the three guards. They practically dragged him out of the room, with Nolan following behind him, shaking his head. Brandon’s screaming and yelling could be heard through the hall.
“Are you okay?” Pulling Raya to her, Hadley pressed a kiss to her forehead.
“Yes.” Raya wrapped her arms around her, resting her head on her shoulder. “Take me home.”
