“Hey,” she broke in, her voice closer, her tone stern. When she slid over, closer to me, and took my chin in her hand, I started sobbing. She pulled me close, her embrace solid and oh so inviting. She smelled like honeysuckle and candy. I breathed in her scent, hiding my face in the crook of her neck.

“Hey, shh,” she cooed. “It’s okay. God, I can’t imagine what you go through each day. Please don’t cry, Mia.”

I held her tighter. Her fingers weaved themselves into my hair and she rubbed her fingertips against my scalp, sending shivers up and down my arms and neck.

With a sigh, I pulled back and looked at her, her face only inches away. We still held each other, and when her eyes went to my mouth, my core flooded with heat and my nipples tightened. Was she as attracted to me as I was to her? I wasn’t about to test it. My heart would break if it turned out I was wrong. Been there, done that.

When I licked my lips without knowing I did so, her syrupy brown eyes met mine, widening. “You’re attracted to women, aren’t you?” she asked boldly. That was Devon, though. She said what she thought.

I nodded, saying nothing, waiting for her reaction.

“Thought so. Trust me, I know attraction when I see it,” she whispered, leaning even closer. Close enough for me to taste her breath.

“And you? Have you ever—”

Her lips touched mine for a second, then she pulled away, but just enough to speak. “I’ve been with girls before, but no one like you.” And then she kissed me.

Her kiss melted me, and I whimpered. I couldn’t bring myself to pull her closer, I didn’t want her to change her mind. I wanted her way too much.

Her tongue swept the inside of my mouth, looking for mine, which I gladly gave her. Hot and soft, wet and delicious, her taste was everything I imagined it would be.

When our kiss became passionate, she gently pushed me down into the sofa, and I wiggled further down so that she’d have better access to me. With her weight on me, her hair tickling my face, her hungry mouth devouring mine, I was set on fire. I felt confident then in touching her, pulling her closer, so close I could feel her breasts against mine, making my nipples ache. I wrapped my legs around her body, which, by the sound of it, she welcomed.

After a few long moments of bliss, she stopped our kiss and sat up, holding my thighs at the knees as she looked down at me. Her eyes were practically black now, her beautiful skin flushed. I knew her body so well after spending so much time photographing her, commanding her to pose at the drop of a hat, touching her and leading her body for the perfect angle. So I knew this was real, that she really was attracted to me.

I felt like I could fly.

With teasing patience, she pulled down my pajama bottoms and tossed them, along with my panties, onto the floor, and with love in her eyes, she went down on me, watching me with a hunger I wanted to imprint onto my soul.

She ate at me as though I were a precious delicacy. Taking her time, finding what I liked, driving me fucking crazy.

When I came on her mouth, I held her face in my small hands and pulled her up, tasting myself on her lips as she ravaged my mouth.

“Mia, Mia, so beautiful,” she whispered, lifting my shirt and sucking on my nipples. I tried to reciprocate, but she pushed my hands away, saying I was all hers this time.

This time.

She showered my naked body with kisses, and when at last I giggled, she looked up at me, her face thoughtful and content.

“What?” I stroked her cheek.

“Just… surprised, is all. Things like this don’t happen to me very much.”

Frowning, I let out a breath. “I know. I feel the same way.”

“This… agrophi…. Whatever—”

“Agoraphobia.”

“Yeah, that. Is there a cure?”

“Yeah.” I let out a breath. “But it takes a lot of work. And courage. I’m not ready yet…. Too scared,” I admitted.

She sat up and leaned back, taking my legs and placing them on her lap. “It’s hard doing the things we know we need to do, isn’t it?”

I nodded, wondering where she was going with this.

“I was planning on leaving before my pimp comes back. He’s gone out of town. I can’t stay here anymore.”
