Raven’s Hotel Room
How canyou tell if someone falls in love with you?
And if that budding feeling flickering through their eyes is more than a flash of nothing?
How can you tell if you are falling in love with them? And if your feelings are about to last a lifetime?
How do you know where the infatuation ends, the affection starts, and your emotions take over, making it impossible to pull away from them?
How can you tell if it will last, become a pain, or end prematurely?
That’s the thing.
You don’t.
Love means listening to your gut, risking a lot, acting on faith, and moving forward no matter what. Being willing to pay a price, suffer some pain, and living without regrets.
And how is romantic love?
Is it shy? Bold? Cheeky?
Is it a ghost? A whisper? A shadow? Or a storm?
Does it burn everything down?
She holds me tight, her arms looped around my waist, her cheek pressed against my shoulder, her breasts crushed against my chest, her heart’s throbbing warming my body.
She breaks away a little, her arms still draped around my body, her eyes connected to mine.
Her gaze dips to my mouth before coming to my eyes.
A soft smile tugs at her lips, gleaming in her gaze.
She looks… hopeful. Her lips are parted, and stars flicker in her eyes. Her hair catches the light, and questions brim in her eyes.
The red jumpsuit sets off her dark hair.
She looks as beautiful as she was that night on the terrace when I saw her tears for the first time.
They tasted like love on my lips.
She blinks, her lashes looking wet from them like then.
She looks happy to see me and be here with me in the room.
There is nothing else besides that. No story. No other men. No things that matter more.
Maybe this is the beginning of what I want.
Of what she wants.
I splay my fingers over her neck and press my thumb against her lips.
They quiver, making me dip my eyes.
