Planting the cameras at Candice’s place had been surprisingly easy. I had kind of hoped they’d have some sort of security system in place to ease Briar’s mind, but that wasn’t the case.
But at least now we have eyes on the little girl most of the time when she’s at home. I have a feeling we’ll be finding out quickly where she stays when her mom is working.
Along with the cameras outside their place, I added a GPS tracker to Candice’s car, just in case Briar’s mother isn’t the one watching Sophie. I get the feeling she is, though, and I don’t feel good about it.
Dylan has a point. Nothing about Kelly and Chad Winters makes any fucking sense. Briar’s father wasn’t some big bad that you had to run from with a new identity. Well, he was, but Kelly was old enough to have proven any abuse to the authorities. She could have had him arrested. Unlike what Briar who wouldn’t have been believed if she tried to say anything.
It’s pathetic how easily a man’s voice can outweigh a child’s in our society and justice system. And the fact that my princess was overlooked pisses me off to no end. It’s the reason I’m so willing to bypass the law when it comes to these disgusting pricks.
They all deserve to die. I hate that we’ve sent so many of them to prison rather than handling them ourselves, and doling out punishments for their crimes. I want to help Briar make them all suffer.
“I hate how easy that was tonight. She needs more protection,” Briar says as we walk back into the house.
“She has it now, Brie. We’ve got her covered,” Dylan promises her.
“I know. I just hate this shit. I need a distraction,” she states, and I share a look with my brother.
“Sex or murder?” I ask, and she thinks about it for a moment.
“Can I say both?” she questions, knowing full well we would never deny her a thing.
“We have someone a few towns over that you could kill,” Dylan starts. “I was going to mention it in a few days so we could start up a plan.”
I smile, feeling gleeful. God, I love the sound of murder and mayhem. It gets me so goddamn hard.
“Oh, princess likes that,” I say. “Dylan, why don’t you make love to our woman tonight?”
My twin looks at me with a smirk as Briar rubs her thighs together. “In a voyeur mood, brother?”
“Fuck, yes. I want to watch you make her cream until she can’t walk straight,” I growl, grabbing my dick and squeezing it through my jeans.
“Yes, please. Take me until I can’t remember my own name, Dyl,” she purrs at him, grabbing his shirt and pulling him to her. “And don’t go too easy on me. Then tomorrow, we’ll plan the kill.”
“Fuck, I bet you’re so wet for me right now. The promise of the kill is already making you glow, baby,” he groans, pushing her against the wall and kissing her hard.
Jesus, fuck. Yes.
I watch him move his hand into her hair and fist it, pulling until she moans. “Do you want me to make love to you, princess?” he says against her lips. “Or do you need the rougher side of me tonight?” he asks, tugging hard.
“Both. Love me the way only you can, Dylan,” she says, and I smile.
“Go to the bedroom and strip for us, then bend over the end of the bed,” he directs her, and she moans.
“Okay.” She stands on her toes to kiss him before pulling back and walking to the bedroom, her hips swaying as she goes.
Fuck, she has a nice ass.
“You good with this?” Dylan asks me as I move over to him.
“More than fine with it. You don’t have to check in with me every time, you know. We’ve been doing this for twelve years,” I point out, and he shrugs.
“I am who I am.”
I nod. “I know. It’s the exact reason why you’re the perfect one to distract her tonight.”
“Let’s go take care of our girl, then.”
