“Brie?” Dylan asks again, his arms tightening around me. He’s never been the one to enjoy this part, but Devon is right. I do have murder on my mind.

“I need you to keep an eye on the police reports. If they let him go, we intercept him before he ever gets home,” I say, and Devon cackles like a lunatic.

“Are you sure that’s such a good idea, Brie? He was just here today and caused problems for you. You could be putting yourself in the line of fire with the police.” I can hear the worry and fear in his voice.

“What else can we do? He’s going to hurt her,” I say, and he pulls back to look at me.

“What if he doesn’t?” he asks with a glint in his eye.

“Why wouldn’t he?” I hedge.

“What if we made it impossible for him to want to go home?”

I raise an eyebrow, and he smiles.

“Pay one of the escorts he uses via a dummy account to be waiting for him outside. If he has a full weekend paid for with her, he won’t go home. You know he won’t,” he states.

His genius warms me to my core. “And if he’s released from prison and seen leaving with the escort, it buys us a couple of days of his alibi before we move on him.” I nod. “We would have to watch him to make sure he doesn’t hurt the escort. I don’t want to put someone in the crosshairs of his anger in a bad way.”

Even the thought of watching him get his rocks off is enough to make me nauseous, but surveillance is a part of this. It’s how we’ll get away with the kill when the time comes.

“We’ll watch. Or Dylan will watch. You can’t see that shit right now. Not after what he just did to you,” Devon spits out, and Dylan nods in agreement.

“We can do it that way. You guys just need to be ready to move at the right time.”

“That’s easy enough,” I admit, feeling the happiness of promised bloodshed rise up in me. It’s been way too long since I’ve had the chance to remind the world of the monster I’ve become.

“Yes!” Devon shouts, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me from Dylan. “I can’t wait to see you all bloody again. God, you’re so hot when you kill.” He crashes his lips to mine, and I giggle.

“This is the only client, Brie. You can’t have people tracking it back to you.” Dylan’s tone leaves no room for argument. “If you need more, we’ll start looking into assholes like him.”

My heart sings at the prospect of more than one kill. Devon is rock hard against my ass as he holds me close, so I know he’s just as affected by this as I am. He wants the bloodshed, too.

“Okay,” I say, nodding my head in agreement. I would never do anything to risk being taken from them, so I will listen to Dylan.

“Okay. I have to break out the other computer and do some digging.” He looks from Devon to me. “You have an hour before your next appointment. Maybe don’t have sex in here,” he quips, and I laugh.

I love the way his eyes turn dark as they zone in on my mouth. He leans over, gripping the back of my neck and pushing his tongue past my mouth.

I groan, leaning into him as he kisses me harder, biting my lip before soothing it with his tongue before he pulls back.

“Tonight, baby, you’re mine.”
