“No, I need to. It could say something about Dad.” I sigh, unrolling the page and a small picture falls out.
Creed grabs it before I have a chance and narrows his eyes at it. Leaning over, I see what he’s looking at and am just as confused.
“What?” Luke asks, grabbing the picture before shaking his head and passing it around the group.
There’s no point in trying to recover any form of evidence from this. If he was careful enough to drop this by drone, there’s no way he would leave traceable evidence and he knows we won’t go to the police anyway.
“He has a foot fetish?” Corden grunts out, and I shrug because I have no clue. Right now, my main focus is on this letter.
My Dearest Dove,
I believe this may be the first letter of mine that you’ve ever personally received, so I wanted to give you the gifts inside this box. I do hope you wear the necklace as it would look stunning on you.
As far as the picture…well, there’s more to come before you put the puzzle together.
I’ve been waiting a long time for this moment, Dove. I have been searching for you for years now, as you well know, and I will never give up.
I am sure you have questions about your father, and I want you to know that he is alive and will continue to be while I wait for you. I wouldn’t be foolish enough to kill the one thing you love and have always needed in this world.
That wouldn’t make me a very good husband and Master, now would it?
I can’t promise he’s going to continue to be, how to put this delicately? Whole.
If you do not come to me willingly, and soon, I will start inflicting pain on him, my not so innocent Dove.
I’ve seen what you allow those abominations to do to you and I can’t say that I’m a fan of them touching what is mine.
I will be in touch soon. Be good for me while you’re out of my grasp. You will not like your consequences when I get my hands on you if you don’t.
Love,
- D
