“Cord just asked me on a date,” Haliee says, skipping to me the second I walk through the door. Answers why he’s lying on the floor outside our room.

She’s in a much lighter mood after wearing off some of that stress of hers with Ollie and Creed, and I hope to be helping relieve some of that pressure later as well.

God, I can never get enough of her. None of us can.

Even Mathias desperately wants to hold her, he just isn’t sure how to battle his inner demons yet. I can see the war in his eyes every time they’re in the same room together.

“Did he?” I ask, smiling down at her before bending down to kiss her lips, pushing my tongue gently into her mouth before pulling back.

“Is that okay?” she questions, biting her bottom lip, and I smile.

“It’s more than okay, Scratch. But I’m calling dibs tonight because I miss my girl.” I lean down kissing her hard until she moans against me, locking her hands in my hair.

“Can’t wait,” she purrs before blinking. “Oh God! What am I going to wear?! I’ve never been on a date aside from our botched Halloween one.” She pulls back and starts pacing, and I can’t help but smile.

“Wear whatever you want, babe. Just make sure you’re warm because it’s fucking cold outside,” I point out, and she rolls her eyes before trying to push me out of the bedroom.

“You need to go! I have to focus, and I can’t do that when you’re looking all sexy and cop like, and I want to climb you like a tree.” She pushes me out the door as I double over with laughter and head into the kitchen.

“What’s so funny?” Torren asks, and I chuckle.

“Cord asked Haliee on a date. She just kicked me out of the room and said she couldn’t focus with me there when she wanted to climb me like a tree.” I shrug, and they all chuckle.

“Good for Cord,” Ollie says, and Creed smirks.

“I get to be a shadow. Is it wrong that I hope I can kill someone? I’m feeling twitchy.” He looks between us, and we all shake our heads, sighing at him.

Corden

I step out my room freshly showered and dressed to impress, before heading to Haliee’s room. I’m about to escort my lady on the night of her life.

For once in my life, my dick isn’t in control of my decisions. My heart is, and always will be when she’s involved.

Just before I reach her door, Creed steps out from the other end of the hallway.

“No. No dice. No fucking way. I said at a distance. That does not mean right on my ass, Creed. That means at a fucking distance,” I rant at him as he leans his shoulder against the wall, looking bored.

“Firstly, weare taking my Doll on this date. I’ll hang in the shadows like Matty boy does, and I’ll be your personal grim fucking reaper, but I’m seeing and kissing my Doll first. Secondly, I want you to know that I’m quite impressed by your bear fighting skills. That’s what, twice this winter?” he snarks, shining me his signature psycho smile that would have grown men pissing themselves, but all it does is tick me off.

Before I can launch myself at him, Haliee opens her door, effectively taking our breath away with how stunning she looks.

“Holy shit. You look beautiful, baby,” I manage to breathe out while Creed just stands in silence.

“Thank you, Corden. And thank you for thinking of tonight. I’ve never gone on a date before, aside from the Halloween party, so this is exciting,” she says, giving me a hug and a gentle kiss before pulling back and turning to Creed with frown. “You ok, Creed?” she inquires.

“You look like something otherworldly. I don’t deserve something so beautiful and pure, but I’m a damned man, Doll, not an honourable one, and you belong to us,” Creed says, before stepping forward and claiming her lips in a savage way.

“I’ll be watching tonight, Doll. I won’t ever be far from your side. Have fun, and be naughty for me,” Creed says, drawing back from her with a wink.

“Remember, you promised me no murder tonight!” Haliee calls out after him, shaking her head at his retreating form.

“Shall we?” I ask, holding out my arm for her slender hand to wrap around it.

“Ready as I’ll ever be,” she replies, shining me the brightest smile as she grips my arm.

We head out to my car, and I make sure she’s buckled in before nodding to Creed on his bike and climbing into the driver’s side.

“Music for this evening, my lady,” I flirt, passing her my phone to scroll through my playlist.
