She smiles at me when I pull back, a bit of moisture in her eyes that wouldn’t be noticeable if I wasn’t so close to her right now.
“We like you.” She squeezes my fingers that are resting on her thigh, seeking silent support from me that I will always give her. “It’s a lot for all of us right now. You say you’re not a Daddy, but I feel this almost… connection with you.”
He gives her a gentle smile that has me liking him even more.
He knows she’s partially dominant, but he doesn’t try to make her submissive like I fear some might if they knew the situation.
She’s small and fragile, but it’s easy to see the fierceness inside of her as well.
“I feel it too. I have from the moment I opened your ad.” He tugs at the tie around his neck, loosening it before continuing, his eyes solely on me. “I’ve also never been attracted to men until now,” he admits, and I see an actual blush forming on his cheeks that I would love to touch.
“If it helps, I’ve been attracted to men, but I have never been with anyone other than Jules.” I barely get the words out past my own emotions.
“Jules. I like it.” He smiles at the both of us. “How would you like to exchange numbers and we can have a group chat open to talk? Maybe make a decision after Christmas when we’ve had time to think?”
Jules is the one to pull her phone out first, almost giggling when she hands it over to him for him to add his number.
I don’t bother getting mine out, but when it vibrates in my pocket, I know he’s already created the chat, so we didn’t leave here without being connected.
“Thank you for dinner and meeting with us,” I say, reaching to shake his hand when we step outside, ready to go our separate ways.
“It was my pleasure. Truly.”
His hand connects with mine and a jolt of electricity runs through me. His eyes widen as he stares down at our connection, and I can’t help but smile.
He may not know what that feeling means, but I know it. It’s how I feel every time Jules and I touch.
He was meant to be a part of us in some way. I just hope he doesn’t run from it.
Shaking his head, he squeezes my hand once more before letting go and turning to Jules.
She doesn’t even wait for him to hold his hand out before she’s wrapping him up in tight hug.
He only freezes for a moment before melting and wrapping his arms around her, returning the embrace.
Seeing the look of peace and wonderment on his face is something I will never forget. It’s like he never knew he could feel so at peace from a simple hug, but that’s the magic she holds. It’s partly why everyone loves her.
When they step away from each other, we say our goodbyes. Each of us heading home to think about exactly what happened tonight, and what it may mean for our future.
Once we’re in the back of the cab, I pull my phone out with one hand and grin at Jules before typing a quick message.
Me:
Tonight was great. Please get home safe.
Trey:
I will. It was wonderful meeting the two of you. Please let me know when you’re both home.
“Did this really happen?”Jules looks at me with excitement that matches my own.
“Yeah, babe. It really happened.”
Julie
I wishI could stop thinking about how amazing he was, but it’s hard.
I know Pete said to give him time, and logically I know it’s what has to be done, but I’m not great with waiting.
