I gasp for air, suddenly unable to catch my breath but filled with purpose. She is mine. The woman I’ve loved from afar is here in my arms, and she loves me.

Her giggle at my reaction brings me out of my head and back firmly in her grasp.

“You had to know that.”

“Only dared to hope.”

Her smile is as bright as our future, and thank the good lord for this miracle.

“Every day, I’ll prove my love, Joey. No more silence. I swear I’ll tell you everything.”

“I know you will, Gavin; you always have. I hear your actions loud and clear.”

With that said, she pushes up on her toes and presses her soft lips to mine. I kiss her with my whole heart and soul and show her how much she means to me with my actions.
