“Only when it comes to you,” he said as he gave me a kiss, and I went to the bathroom with a blanket around me.

He was right; he had all my favorite products for my face and my teeth. I guess it made me feel just a tiny bit flattered that he would ensure there was everything I needed in his home. I hurriedly washed my face, brushed my teeth, put some lotion on, and brushed my hair.

When I saw his shirt hanging, I wanted to be wrapped with his scent instead of the clothes I brought from home. So I quickly put it on.

Kristoff had freshened up by the time I returned. I crawled into bed next to him. His eyes were tracking my every move.

“I stole your shirt,” I mumbled, cuddling into him.

He wrapped his arm around me and replied, “You look good in my clothes.”

“I’m so tired,” I sighed, snuggling into his warm body.

“Good night, beautiful,” he whispered. I kissed his chest and closed my eyes, ready to drift off into my dream world.

“Good night, Kristoff...” I mumbled and cut myself short.

Shit, I almost saidIlove you.

It is just a habit, I convinced myself. I told my daughtersGood night, I love you, every night. Not wanting to think more about it, I laid my hand on his chest, feeling his strong heartbeat and drifted off.

Chapter Seven

Iwoke up and reached out for Kristoff. The bed was empty. I sat up and looked around the large bedroom, rubbing my eyes. The clock on the nightstand indicated it was past ten a.m.

I could not remember the last time I slept in that late. My body felt relaxed. Sometime in the night, not sure who initiated it, we had sex again. This time it was slow, and since I was half asleep, it almost felt like I dreamt it.

I noticed clothes for me laid out on an armchair.

I hurried into the bathroom, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. Just as I came out of the bathroom, there was an elderly woman coming in.

“Oh, excuse me,” she said. “I thought you were downstairs with Mr. Baldwin. I was going to clean up the room.”

“Please don’t apologize,” I hurriedly answered. “I woke up late, so I am probably holding you up. Where is Mr. Baldwin?”

“He is in the library,” she answered.

“Thank you.”

I walked downstairs, trying to remember which way the library was in this outrageously large house. It was too big for a single man. I wondered why he kept a huge house like that.

I glanced around me with uncertainty. I didn’t want to start opening each door, guessing which one led to the library.

“Kristoff?” I tried to keep my voice low. “Kristoff?”

“Hey, sleeping beauty.” I heard his voice and I whipped around.

“Ah, that’s the library door,” I commented, smiling as I walked towards him. “I’m sorry I slept so late. I usually never sleep in.”

I stopped two feet away from him, unsure what to do. I wasn’t sure what kind of thing we had going here. Should I give him a good morning kiss? Hug him? Or just play it casually, and do nothing?

He answered my question by pulling me to him and giving me a lingering kiss on my lips. “Good morning,” he whispered warmly.

“Good morning.” I sighed, my body instantly responding when near him. If he keeps this up, we are going to end up back in the bed. “Did you sleep well?” I asked him.

“I slept better than I had in a very long time. And the best part was waking up with you in my bed.”

I blushed. “When did you get up?” I asked, fidgeting with his shirt.
