“Are you sleeping with him?” Layla asked with a little giggle, a confused expression on her face.

“Pfft,” I spat out although it was hard to push the image of his naked body out of my head. “As if.”

“Do you want to?”

Layla’s questions were making my head hurt.

“I want to go home,” I responded, my words barely getting out.

Lena swayed as she answered. “Should I drive?”

I frowned as I looked between us, my thoughts processing her words and my response in a slow motion.

I went to open my mouth to tell her we should take a cab, when Alexander stopped me.

“None of you are in condition to drive. I’ll take you all home.”

“Ohhh,” Layla blurted out. “Livy, if you don’t want him, can I have him?”

I took her hand and shook her slightly, my motions hard to control.

“No, Layla,” I slurred mad. “He’s too hot.”

“So you like him?” she asked, again confused in her drunken state.

“No,” I muttered, closing my eyes. The world was spinning out of control. “No more Callens, no more icemen. Need a normal guy.” My words didn’t make any sense as I tried to make sense of my thoughts unsuccessfully.

Alexander was next to me, slowly nudging me. “Alright, ladies. Let’s go.”

The fact that all three of us nodded and followed without another complaint was evidence we were way too drunk. From the furthest corner of my mind, I noted his date looked pissed, but I was way past the wasted stage to care at all.

As we were departing, I suddenly stopped.

“Oh no,” I muttered.

“What?” all of them asked in unison.

“Our song is over,” I told them sadly, then turned to Alexander grabbing him by his tie as I leaned closer to him, tilting my face up to his. “You made me miss half of our song. Next time,” I started speaking slowly. “...next time, tell me you are here.” His cologne invaded my senses and it reminded me of a deep forest and stormy seas. It was oddly calming. Then, I smiled drunkenly as I reached up and kissed him on the cheek. Through my drunk state, I felt his hard body against mine and I loved it. “I might even dance with you.”

“What?” Layla screeched and my eyes turned to her, my hand still holding on to his tie. “You said you were saving this song for someone and something special. You wouldn’t even dance with Callen to that song.”

“Oh,” Lena giggled. “Livy is in trouble.”

I turned my eyes to him and back to them, answering slurry as if he wasn’t even there. “I have to move on. Right, Lena? I have to start somewhere and he’s hot. Maybe I should just sleep with him? Should I start there?”

Layla was nodding her head yes, and Lena was shaking hers no.

“Ugh, then what? How?” I asked.

Alexander’s date spat something out, although for the life of me I couldn't comprehend what she said.

“Is she speaking French?” I turned back and asked Alexander. “I’m pretty good at French.”

“Yes, I know. C’mon,” he nudged me forward. “Let’s get you home.”
