I glanced around, but nobody apart from us was here. After all, it was a private island.

He stopped two feet from me. My breathing shallowed. My skin burned and it had nothing to do with the heat of the sun and everything to do with the look in his eyes.

Devouring me.

My stomach flipped, and my heart rate sped up as I imagined his mouth on me.

And I held my breath. Waiting.

He leaned closer. I could feel his warm, minty breath tickling my flesh. His fingers cradled my face and his mouth brushed against mine. His tongue swept across my bottom lip. Feather soft. Then his nose nudged against mine.

I inhaled the scent of him deep into my lungs. A mixture of ocean andAguardiente.

Safety.

A loud giggle traveled through the air, mixing with the waves crashing against the shore. Both of us turned our heads in its direction to find Gabriel rolling in the shallow water while Bruno licked his face, his little nub wagging a hundred miles an hour.

Raphael’s booming laughter followed and I could feel the vibration of it deep in my soul. It was a loud and contagious laugh, and I found myself smiling too.

The two of us made our way through the crystal blue waters toward them and the moment we got closer, Gabriel sat up. The happy expression on his face warmed my heart more than the heat of the southern sun. His blue eyes shone mischievously and the moment we took another step towards him, he shot to his feet and splashed us.

I squealed at the feel of the cold water against my warm skin. Without thinking, I took cover behind Raphael’s big body. He went to move but I put my hands on both of his biceps.

“Don’t you dare move,” I giggled. “You’re hot. You can cool off.”

Another splash of water followed and I laughed so hard, tears pricked my eyes.

“Come on, big bad devil,” I teased him, nudging him forward. “You’re not scared of a little boy and a puppy, are you?”

Woof. Woof.

I peeked around Raphael’s big body. Bruno was soaked by now. Barking at the waves, then biting the white caps. Gabriel was wet too, his hair sticking to his forehead and a big grin on his face.

In one swift move, before I realized what was even happening, Raphael swept me up into his arms and the next splash landed on me.

“Brrrr.” I folded over and curled up further into Raphael, stealing his heat. “The water is too cold,” I complained, my fists pounding on his chest. “Put me down. Now!”

“No chance,” Raphael answered, grinning. “This devil quite enjoys a water fight. As long as an angel is in my arms.”

Gabriel’s laugh filled the air. “Mom looks just like an angel with her hair, doesn’t she?”

Raphael’s eyes glimmered as he watched me.

The look in them promised heaven, or maybe the most delicious sin.

ChapterThirty-One

RAPHAEL

Iclosed the door behind me and entered the surveillance room.

The image of Sailor in that bikini burned into my brain. If there was another man on the beach, I’d have had to shoot him dead because nobody was allowed to see her like that. With her long legs and that bubblegum pink bikini, it was hard not to notice her.

Her beach tan made her waist-length platinum blonde hair stand out even more. She stood there like a water nymph, staring at me bluntly with her mouth parted and her cheeks flushed. It had my dick twitching.

But when she laughed, the whole world brightened. There was no sound like it. Her laugh was better than church bells. Better than the sweet melody of the nightingale. It made me feel whole, happier than I’d ever been.

It was then that I realized that her happiness was everything to me. Hers and Gabriel’s. Because the two were closely intertwined. And I’d spend the rest of my life making both of them happy.
