“Blyat.” Alexei growled, immediately stopping his movements.

“Fuck.” I cursed at the same time.

Alexei’s body stiffened and his eyes filled with cold fury at the man next to me. He took a step toward me, and Ivan’s fingers gripped my jaw so hard, I was certain I’d have bruises on my face. Assuming we got out of this alive. He shoved the gun into my mouth and my eyes widened with fear.

“One more step, Alexei, and I blow her brains out,” Ivan warned, his voice eerily low.

He instantly stilled, his eyes on me. Now both Alexei and I had guns pointed at us. The guests to this shitshow were glued to their spots, some of them seated comfortably in their seats. The only thing they were missing was popcorn. This was such a stupid plan.

And what kind of people were they not to come to our rescue. Bastards. Just as I thought, Igor probably picked out the worst kind of criminal minds to come join him in his orgy party.

Though it got us close to Ivan who took three steps over to me, grinning darkly.

“I’m going to have so much fun with you,” he purred into my ear, licking my earlobe. “I’ll fuck all your holes, just like I had done to your brother.”

I flinched at his words, and suddenly, I wasn’t sure whether I should hope to find Kingston alive or dead.

My lungs squeezed tight, flashes of the young Kingston I remembered played inside my mind.

Him chasing me around our pool or up and down our grand staircase. His laughter. His dark brown eyes. The bedtime stories he’d read to me. Or how he’d eat my broccoli because it made me gag, but our cook insisted I had to eat it.

Each memory stung, ripping my chest open and slicing into fresh wounds. Lashes from a whip must hurt less than this. But I wouldn’t let myself cry.

Instead, I let hate swallow me. I let anger fester inside me and boil over. It flooded through me like hot lava.

I met Ivan’s ugly stare head on and curled my lips into an ugly smile.

Waiting. Waiting. Just another inch. Copper pooled in my mouth as I bit inside my cheek.Another inch.

And then my head swung forward with a swish as I headbutted him.

“Fucking Italian bitch,” Ivan spat out, holding his nose. “You didn’t get the fight from your father. So it has to be that filthy DiLustro Kingpin blood.”

The woman that came with Ivan stared at me, the void of her stare no longer empty. But there was something unhinged in her eyes, sending alarm through me. She took a step forward, and I backed away a step.

Her eyes almost scared me more than Ivan’s. Anxiety swarmed every fiber of me, making it hard to breathe.

Her hand shot out and she slapped me across the face with such force that it sent my head swinging to the side. Alexei growled, fighting against the four men that constrained him.

I gritted my teeth, my cheek stinging from the burn, but I never removed my eyes from her.

“Take them to the dungeons.” Her voice was low and soft. Yet, it was one of the creepiest sounds I have ever heard.

The next second Alexei and I were dragged out of the room, then down more stairs. With each step we took, we were further and further away from luxury. This side of the castle was empty, damp, and dark.

Fuck!

ChapterThirty-Three

AURORA

“Well these accommodations suck,” I muttered. “Downgrade for sure.”

My eyes roamed over the little room, stone walls, and one twin bed. No bathroom. It wasn’t exactly a cell, but it wasn’t a room either. I paced back and forth, trying to come up with some ideas. I was still in my panties and bra, wearing Alexei’s suit jacket and barefoot. Not an ideal scenario. Even if we somehow got out of here, I couldn’t run barefoot.

Though I’m all set for swimming, I thought wryly.

I forced myself to think about anything and everything, just not the fact that the man that had taken my brother twenty years ago was here. In this building. And he was Ivan Petrov.
