“If William was so good, why did he lie?” He growled low, anger rolling off him. “And in case you are wondering where that other three hundred thousand went, Bianca, it went to his mistress.”
The words felt like a physical slap in my face. Both my cheeks burned, my throat constricted.
“You lie!” It couldn’t be the truth. William said it was only a short affair, two weeks. “He wouldn’t-”
I wouldn’t go there now. It wasn’t as if it mattered now. I couldn’t do anything about it. Hardening my heart, I glared at all of them.
“You better sleep with your eyes open because if something happens to my mother, it is on you, and I’ll kill you.” The childish part of me wanted to throw a fit. Maybe grab the wedding cake and shove it onto the floor. “And the rest of you,” I huffed, narrowing my eyes on them. “You breathe wrong and I’ll… I’ll-” Damn it, what could I do? “I’ll kill you.”
Luciano threw his head back and laughed. I blinked in confusion at his reaction. It wasn’t what I expected. “Damn, this sounds like déjà vu,” he said. “I think my wife threatened me in the same way a few weeks ago.”
I blew a frustrated breath. “You don’t know what you’ve done,” I accused them all.
“Hold on,” Luca cut in, his eyebrows raised. “Your mother is Benito’s whore, and you are blaming this on us?” Luca’s voice challenged. “She came to your wedding with him, not us.”
I took two steps his way and my hand flew through the air, slapping him hard across the face.
“Don’t talk about my mother like that.”
ChapterTwenty-Six
NICO
Luca’s cheek held my wife’s handprint, his eyes darkened in anger, and he took a threatening step towards her. Great, they didn’t even know they were related, and they were already arguing like siblings.
“Luca,” I growled, taking a step towards him. “Don’t touch my wife.”
He wouldn’t hit her, but he wasn’t beyond scaring the living daylights out of her. The start of this marriage didn’t go according to plan. That was putting it mildly. I wasn’t surprised to see Benito show up, though I was surprised to see how fast he showed up. And with Bianca’s mother!
At least he was late with intercepting the marriage. Benito wasn’t stupid and I was sure he did his homework. Though I had to wonder whether he came because my father told him about the wedding today or because Jenna sent him a message before Leonardo got to her so his goal was to kidnap Bianca and force her to Vladimir.
My father was weak and stupid. Always trying to get in the bed with sharks, but he didn’t know how to swim. I expected my father to call Benito and it made me itch to just end him. Once and for all! It infuriated me to think of so many goddamn traitors. My own damn father! Fucking Jenna Palermo!
Thank God I never fucked that bitch.
Jenna didn’t know why I wanted William on my payroll. So that two-faced bitch couldn’t have told Benito my reasons behind it. But he’d learn soon enough.
Bianca stood in front of me, her cheeks red and fury burning in her eyes. My wife had a temper. A really bad one, from the looks of it. I rarely lost my temper, but she seemed to succeed in edging me on, causing me to lose my reason.
“Go in the house, Bianca,” I ordered her.
“Fuck you, asshole,” she rebelled back, fury in her dark eyes. Fuck, even like that she turned me on. “Just because I saidI doa few hours ago, doesn’t mean I’ll do what you say.”
Sasha Nikolaev chuckled. “Damn, I like this woman.” He had a wide grin on his face. “Bianca, if you need someone to shoot Nico or anyone else, I’m your man.”
Bianca rolled her eyes at him, annoyed expression on her face.
“You’d probably charge me an arm and a leg. I already had to marry one asshole because I owed him money. I don’t need any more of that shit.”
Sasha winked at her. “I’d do it for free.”
“Well, in that case, let me get a list together,” she replied sweetly to him, shooting glares my way. “I’ll text it to you.”
My wife knew just what to say to get me all fired up. I was barely keeping a lid on my temper. And Sasha wasn’t helping, sending the jealousy through my veins.
“Sure thing, beautiful,” Sasha purred and a growl came from my throat.
Bianca’s eyes narrowed, as if challenging me to say anything about her getting a phone number from another man.
