“It’s alright, babygirl,” Eros said, switching places with his oldest brother. They changed positions with the utmost care, barely moving me at all. Eros settled in front of me. There was no worry in my mate’s hot gaze, only the dark glint of something that made the hairs on my nape stand as he held his palm to my mouth.

“Take as much as you need. I’m all yours. Do you have the strength to make the bite?”

I nodded, my gaze fastening to his offering. My breath caught when I took in my mating mark on his palm, forever stamped into his skin. He brought his hand to rest in my parted mouth, not even batting so much as an eyelash as my fangs made a descent from my gums as fast as a switchblade.

My fangs punctured his skin with the ease of a warmed knife cutting butter.

“Good girl,” my mate purred through a crooked grin that was all sharp teeth.

With the flavor of Sterling still lingering in my mouth, the smokiness of Eros’ blood created a heady cocktail on my tongue. When the fragrance of Corry’s blood made the air thick with his mouth-watering aroma, my senses went into full overdrive.

I flicked my attention up to see the youngblood shredding his forearm open with his teeth. Eros pulled his hand away from me and pressed his knuckle to my chin, helping to tilt my head up.

“Open wide for my brother, baby. Show him that pretty tongue.” I opened my mouth wide and stretched my tongue out to catch Corry’s blood as it dribbled down, the rich taste peppering my tongue.

“You feel that?” Eros growled, his words sinking straight through my core. “You feel us filling you up?”

Nothing about this situation should have been sexual. Here we were in the enemy’s den, surrounded by headless bodies with my freaking spine snapped in half.

But it was just like the Knight princes to turn pain into pleasure, regardless of the scenario.

And it was no secret that vamp blood acted as a powerful aphrodisiac. I’d experienced the most profound and wild lust with the blood of just one of my princes coursing through my veins. Now that I had taken blood from all three of them, their warmth and strength seeped into every corner of my body, reinforcing me like the world’s most powerful adrenaline shot.

The sensation was overwhelming. I’d never experienced such heightened pleasure, yet none of them were touching me, at least not where I ached for them to.

A swollen moan bubbling past my black-stained lips.

Corry let out a relieved sigh. “It’s working.”

“Give it a moment before you celebrate,” Lavinia said in a grave-quiet whisper.

No sooner than the words were out of her mouth, the tingling pleasure evaporated, leaving as fast as it had come. My eyes widened. I felt my pupils expand, and every inch of my body pricked with bumps. It was as if my nerves had been overloaded, and they were trying to process all the sensation pumped into them. And couldn’t.

Violent convulsions wracked my body. I thrashed on the ground, all six hands of my men flying to hold me down.

At least I knew the blood had worked to fuse my spine back together because I could feel and heareverything. The cold bite of the marble flooring, the patterns of my men’s fingerprints as they held onto me for dear life, the crunch of Lavinia’s nails as she chewed nervously on her fingers from across the room.

“What’s happening to her?” Corry gasped.

“Her body is struggling to take in the powerful blood,” the immortal teen replied. “This is the moment we find out if she’s strong enough to absorb it. If she’s able to process it all, be prepared. If she’s to survive, it will be her feral side that pulls her through.”

My skull split, my body bucked. I opened my mouth to scream, but Sterling’s hand clamped over the opening to muffle the sound. Tears burned my eyes.

For several terrifying beats that felt like forever, I thought I might not make it.

After all, I was just a mortal. Why did I ever think that someone like me, some shut-in nobody from the suburbs, could be the queen of the vampires? Who the bloody hell did I think I was, thinking I could survive life with these four handsome as sin vampire princes as my mates?

Sterling’s eerie eyes were the ones in my line of sight. But as I fell unconscious, they weren’t the ones filling my head.

Red eyes that were green around the rims glared at me through the darkness.

“You’re giving up? Don’t be so pathetic. Knock off the pity party, Princess, and put up the fucking fight that I expect from my mate. That I expect from my queen.”

It was Vincent’s baritone that spoke to me, but he wasn’t here. No, it was my own inner monster telling my humanity to disappear for a while so I could battle my way through this like the damn queen I was.

I focused on the distant voices of my men. Sterling, Corry, and Eros all had panicked voices as they begged me to fight through it.

They really did love me.
