“Flower,” he rasped. “You okay?”

Half asleep, he was worried about her. “I miss you.”

“Yeah? I like that you do. I miss you too. My bed’s lonely without you in it.”

“If you’d let me in, I could fix that.”

“If only it was that easy,” he said, misunderstanding what she meant. “I’ll be home in two days.”

Willow hoisted her bag over her shoulder and knocked on the door. “Knock, knock. Room service.”

She heard the rustle of sheets and a curse. “Are you outside my door?”

The door flew open, and Luke, completely naked, cupped her cheeks and kissed her as he backed into his room, letting the door shut behind her.

“Surprise,” she murmured against his lips.

Luke slid her bag off her shoulder, took her phone out of her hand, placed it on a bench by the door, and kissed her again. “Best wake-up call ever. We’ll get to why you are here after I’ve made love to you.” He led her to the bed, which was dangerous because they had things to do, but there was nothing better than being wrapped up in his arms. “Sit.”

Willow did as he said as he dropped to his knees. “Hey, you,” he said softly, and kissed her bump. “Have you been good for your mum?”

She loved the way he said mum. Not mom. Mum. That’s what she would be. A mum.

“He’s been great, apart from hanging out too close to my bladder in the evening.”

“Good lad.” He rubbed her bump, then stood, before lowering them both to the bed. “Now, I just need to get you naked, so we match.”

Willow grinned and placed a kiss to his chest. “No, we need to get you dressed so you match me. There’s somewhere we need to be.”

He slid his hand beneath her blouse, his callouses doing wonderful things to her skin. “There is?”

“There is. So, let’s go, flower.”

He grinned at the use of his name for her. “Flower, is it? You wouldn’t be trying to tell me what to do, would you?”

“Me? No. But I do have a surprise that I think you are really going to love, and it’s about a twenty-minute cab drive away.”

Luke propped himself up on one elbow. “For real?”

“Yes. Let’s go, Bryson.”

“What if we were quick?” Luke asked, kissing the side of her neck.

She could feel his erection growing against her thigh, and she pushed away from him so she could climb off the edge of the bed. Finding a T-shirt thrown over a chair, she flung it at him. “No sexy business until later.”

Luke gripped his dick. He’d never looked more like a rock star. Rough stubble, tousled hair, taut body covered in ink, high thread count sheets, and a look in his eye that said he wanted to eat her for breakfast. “Are you sure, flower?”

“Urgh,” she said, spinning to open the curtains to let the sunlight in. “You are impossible to say no to. Get out of bed. I promise that you are going to love what I have planned more than sex.”

Luke laughed, but she heard him climb out of bed. “I doubt that. There’s nothing I like more than being deep inside you, feeling you squirm beneath me as you try to get off.” He looped his arms around her waist and kissed her neck. “But, seeing I’m just so fucking happy to see you, and that you thought to organise something for us, I’ll get dressed. Gimme a minute.”

Fifteen minutes later, with Luke’s hair still wet from the quick shower he’d tried to entice her to join him in, they sat in a taxi driving to their destination. Thinking ahead, she’d written it on a piece of paper and handed it to the driver, telling him it was a surprise.

“The zoo?” Luke asked, trying to guess for the millionth time where they were going.

“Nope.”

“You aren’t taking me to a musical, are you?”
