I dip my eyebrows, turning back to him, “What sport do you guys play?”

He chuckles, “Is it that obvious?”

I roll my eyes with a laugh before he continues. “Basketball.”

The waitress drops our drinks off, I sip mine while Trey falls into conversation with his teammates, his arms claiming my waist and his lips occasionally ghosting up my neck.

Summer finds me about an hour later, her face flush and her hair a bird’s nest on top of her head. She eyes the man I’m perched on top of and gives me a questioning look.

I shrug, and she laughs a little before introducing herself to my new friends and finding herself a seat and injecting herself into conversation.

My phone buzzes again, so I check the notification while everyone is lost in each other.

Brody:I need you, Liv.

I delete the message without responding, leaning back into my delicious man’s shoulder, and get lost in the story he’s telling the guys sitting next to us.

“Yo, Trey!” A voice booms from behind us, my blood chills a little at the familiarity before Trey turns his head and yells out a greeting.

“Travis, man, what’s up?”

I close my eyes in frustration for a breath, opening them in time to see Summer throw her arms around Mac’s shoulders with a laugh.

Trey pats at my lap to motion me to get up, so I stand on shaky legs as he claps a hand in Travis’s, who’s grinning at me like he 100% planned this.

I hear Jax’s voice from across the table as he plants a kiss on Summer’s cheek, “Thanks for inviting us to come out tonight, Sum.”

Her face turns up into a grin when I whip my head towards her, gritting my teeth, her name a curse under my breath.

I turn back to Travis, who’s still shooting the shit with Trey – whose hand is still on my waist – and I meet his eyes, “Why are you everywhere?”

He chuckles, dismissing my comment, “Not everything is about you, Olivia, it’s a small city.”

I blink, once, twice, three times and then scoff in his direction. If that’s how he wants to play, then I can play twice as fucking hard. I grip onto Trey’s hand, tugging him away from Travis, “Let’s dance, Trey.”

He nods, and wiggles his eyebrows at me, “Alright hottie, let’s go.”

I don’t give Travis another glance, I just pull Trey behind me out into the outer edge of the dance floor, where we can still be seen.

The alcohol in my system gives me the confidence I need to put on a show for Travis, whether it’s a good idea or not, and I get lost in the sensual movements of my body against Trey’s as the music booms around us.

The dance floor continues to fill up, bodies push us further and further into the center of the club, and I let the combination of music and flashing lights take me away.

Wanna pretend you don’t care? I’ll show you I don’t care even fucking more.

Chapter Twenty-One

Travis

I’m grittingmy teeth so hard my jaw could cut fucking glass, Olivia is wrapped up in Trey’s arms on the dancefloor, her ass rubbing on him and I’m about to lose it.

Summer calls my name from down the table and I flare my nostrils as I meet her gaze.

“You need to get her attention somehow. She’ll fuck him out of spite.”

When Mac got the text from Summer saying that they were at Savage, that Olivia was going to hook up with someone, my sad ass got off the sofa to come get my girl.

But seeing it is completely different than hearing about it.
