I hide the toilet paper behind my back. The end of the roll flutters in the breeze.

His smirk grows into a grin. This time it isn't running madly that makes my breath catch in my chest. "Your smile is beautiful."

"Thank you,Corazon," he whispers. His mouth touches mine, just a tiny, brief brush. I follow him as he pulls back, just as embarrassingly needy for a kiss as the dumbest of girls.

To my shock, he doesn't turn away. Our mouths fuse together as if we've done this a thousand times. His lips gently coax mine to open. It's not a claim, but he isn't asking permission, either. It's... goddess... he's loving me with his mouth. He lifts me against his body, and I wrap my arms around his neck. Tiny fireworks are exploding in my brain. Carmichael's fingertips are grazing my cheeks, his mouth moving along mine. I can't breathe again, but it's wonderful.

An engine roars nearby. "Yo, Carm! You got one of those bitches? Yeah, man!"

I feel sick. It's a car filled with Alpha-holes. The toilet paper drops from my nerveless fingers. Tears prick my eyes. I suck at TP'ing. My eyes swing up to Carmichael's. Please, please tell me that he didn't plan this. That was my first kiss, damnit!

His smile drops, the familiar, cold expression returning. "Si,güey, I got this one." A large hand curls around my back. "I'll make sure she pays." His eyes are ice-cold as he stares at them. I shiver. Don't they see the fury in him?

They drive off to my sort-of relief. I still have to deal with Carmichael.

"Your fraternity is a bunch of meanies." I'm shaking. No, I'mshaken.

That ice-blue gaze grows warmer when he turns back to me. "Sí, I fit in well."

This time my gasp works. "You aren't! Well, not completely. Not like those alpha-holes!" I'm such an idiot.Not like those alpha-holes,indeed.

The minuscule smile returns. "I'm an actual alpha,Conejita. I'm worse than all of them."

I look into his eyes. "No, you aren't," I tell him firmly.

"You make me feel better,Conejita," he murmurs.

"Yeah," I reply breathlessly, "it's sort of what omegas do." Oops. I wince, waiting for the ice to come back into his eyes.

He reaches down and picks up the toilet paper roll. I watch him as he rolls the loose part back onto the roll. Then, he tucks it under my shirt. "Hide it like this, alright?"

I nod, silenced by the feeling of the backs of his fingers touching my bare belly.

"I'm taking you back to your House, Cassidy. Don't be part of any more pranks,Cielo. Promise me."

"I promise," I whisper.

"Good girl," he says softly. He tucks a strand of my hair behind my ear, then turns me and gives me a nudge toward his bike. I barely refrain from touching my lips in fascinated wonder. Carm kissed me, and I think he meant it.

She can't TP a fucking house of fuckingpendejos. I would think she was stupid, covering the garbage cans on the street instead of the porch or trees, running with the damn evidence streaming behind her like a banner. But...chale. I know it's just Cassie. She's too damn nice for her good.

I guide her towards my bike. I can't let her walk back by herself. If one of the other Alpha-Ups cruises by again, they may peg her as one of the pranksters. And if they bother my girl, I'll be kicking out more 'brothers.' Or worse.

I guess I'll also make sure that none of Cassidy's friends are being harassed. A month ago, I wouldn't have cared.Puto.

Cassidy grinds to a halt so abruptly that I almost knock her over. I'm so focused on her that I only realize that Adriana and Felicia are there when I hear Felicia speak.

"Is it true? Did you reject us, yourpack, for her?"

I feel the flinch in Cassidy's body through my palm on her back. Instantly, the familiar red-hot rage fills me. My alpha-wolf sends a wordless snarl towards the interloping females.

"He used us," Adriana turns her tear-filled eyes toward my omega. "He used me and tossed me aside like nothing. Don't get involved with him. He'll break your heart."

My heart fucking plummets to the ground. Shit, maybe it sinks even further - straight to hell where I'll send myself if Cassidy gives up on me because these females can't keep their mouths shut.
