Page 23 of Carmichael's Omega

He's mine, I tell myself silently. He's confusing and frustrating and a little mean, but he's mine. He used me tonight, and I promised to let him do it again. Again, I'm surprisingly OK with that.

I shut the door to my room with a decisive snick. I want him to do it again. Logically, I should be running screaming from Caluna straight back to ClearHowl.

Truthfully, I'll take him as long as I can get him.

I sigh as I look around the room I share with three LaNu sisters, McKayla, Darcy, and Lacey. It's tight quarters, with two sets of bunk beds tucked against the two longer walls to make room for two desks. I think it's cozy, like a den, but Lacey has already complained about not having space.

I grab my pajamas and my shower caddy, but first, I take my phone out. Smiling at the latest pictures Mina sent me from home, I quickly respond to her texts. Then, I twist the phone in my hands.

I have to warn my sisters, which means outing myself and Carm. Otherwise, how would I explain how I know what the Alpha-holes are up to?

Feeling like I'm betraying Carm, I start to search for Deanna's number. If I call her first, then Miranda can handle everything from there. I could send a mass text, but then every female in the sorority would know all about my little adventure tonight.

The sharp tone of my phone ringing makes me jump. It's McKayla. Odd that she's calling instead of texting.

"Hello?"

"Cass, where are you?!"

"I came home. I was just about to call-"

"Thank God! You have no idea what just happened. You're really home and not at the Alpha-hole House, right?"

"I just got here-"

"One of the Alpha-holes took pictures of the Veep and Deanna making out and posted it!"

My stomach sinks. "I was just about to call her," I whisper miserably. There I was, hesitating, and look at what happened! I could have prevented this!

"We'll be back in like, ten minutes, OK?" The call ends abruptly.

Heaving a sigh, I look at the Greek online chat, GChat, and wince when I see the photos, front and center. Deanna and the Alpha-hole Veep, whoever he is, look exactly like I'm sure Carm and I did. Goodness gracious, someone could have taken a photo of me giving him a blowjob. Wouldn't that be fantastic if my family ever found out? I shudder at the thought of Teague showing up on campus. Carnage.

Looking down, I gasp outloud. I look thoroughly jumbled, and the other sisters will be home in just a minute. Dashing to the showers, I jump in, not bothering to wash my hair but using the leave-in shampoo to get it looking slightly less mussed. I brush my teeth and get rid of most of his taste. My she-wolf bites at me a little. She loves the taste and smell of her mate.

It's the fastest shower ever, but when I pull my pajamas on, I feel infinitely better. I tie my tamed hair up in a sloppy bun on the top of my head and hear voices coming from the common room.

Rushing downstairs, my heart lurches. Deanna is held in the arms of her best friend, Milly, looking like I did just ten minutes ago but completely heartbroken. Tears on some of the girls' faces have left mascara streaks. Some of them are missing shoes, jackets, one of them is wearing only her bra and a skirt. It looks as if the LaNu's ran from the party all at once.

"They took pictures of Darcy, too," Lacey walks over, arms crossed over her chest. She looks pissed. I lean on her, taking some comfort in that strength. "Then they just kicked us all out, really suddenly."

"I'm sorry. I wasn't fast enough," I say. It catches Deanna's attention.

"What do you mean?" she sniffles.

I confess, the words falling from my lips like vomit. "I was with Carm, and he took a picture of me, but then he promised not to show anyone else. And he mentioned taking pictures and-"

"You were with Carmichael Reyes?" Deanna interrupts. Worry lights up her face, chasing away the tears.

I nod, feeling the blush steal over my face.

"Are you..." Deanna asks me. "Are you OK, Cass? Did he... did he hurt you?"

Her question hangs in the room. It feels like all of the air has been sucked out of the space. She thinks that Carm hurt me. That he forced me?

"No!" I blurt out when I finally catch my breath. "Oh, he and I... and then he took me home. But he took a picture of me and said that... I tried to go back to the party, but he took me home," I finish lamely.

"You're OK, though? You sure?" Deanna presses.
