As I stride into the living room and take a seat, an unfamiliar scent hits me, stealing my breath away. My mouth immediately waters as every fiber of my being begs for me to find where it’s coming from. I flick on the lights for the stairs and take them two at a time before coming to a stop at the top.
Everything looks just as I left it, but that scent is even more potent up here than downstairs. My head swivels from left to right as I try to figure out where the delicious scent is coming from before I hear a soft sigh coming from my bedroom.
“The fuck?” I mumble as I inch slowly toward my room and peek inside.
Nothing looks out of place until I take a step into the room.
The light from the hallway bathes the room in a warm glow, revealing a small lump almost in the center of my bed with the most beautiful face resting on my pillow. Her long hair is feathered around her head, as if someone arranged it perfectly. The light filters across her face, giving her an angelic-like glow, pulling me closer to her.
My cock hardens as I come closer and take in a deep breath, committing her intoxicating scent to memory. I don’t know a thing about this girl. Where she came from. Why she’s sleeping in my bed. But right now, none of that matters as the overwhelming need to claim her as my own courses through me.
“What the fuck is wrong with me?” I whisper, not wanting to wake up the sleeping beauty in my bed.
Something has shifted inside me, as if every cell in my body rearranged itself. It’s like a craving I didn’t know existed before this moment in time. A need to have this woman writhing beneath me for all of eternity.
My body continues to move on autopilot as I step closer to the bed, placing both my hands on either side of her head and leaning forward. It’s as if my body has a mind of its own as I inch closer to her mouth.
Just a little taste.
My eyes drop shut and I inch closer, our lips only a few centimeters aways from each other.
Just as I’m about to press my lips to hers, I feel two hands pressing against my chest.
“You should really ask a lady before you kiss her.”
My eyes fly open as I look down at the angel before me. Her dark eyes sparkle with mischief as I jerk up into a standing position.
“I was checking to see if you were breathing,” I snap back, embarrassed at my lack of control around her.
I don’t even know this woman, and I was ready to throw my years of control out the window for a single kiss. Woman have never been a priority for me. More of a problem than anything, if you ask me. I joined the Marines when I graduated high school and was told numerous times that if I needed a family, the Corps would’ve issued me one. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve partaken in my fair share of one-night stands while overseas, but we all knew what was going on. No promises of forever or anything past those few hours.
But now, seeing this girl, I want more. I want everything.
“Did you see my note?” she asks as she throws her legs over the side of the bed and turns on the light.
All the blood rushes to my cock as my eyes rake down her body, focusing on her hardened nipples poking through the flimsy t-shirt she’s wearing. Images of her long, sun-kissed legs spread open wide for me, waiting for me to feast on her lower lips, filter through my mind.
“My eyes are up here,” she purrs, sliding her finger under my chin and forcing me to look into her eyes. “It’s good to know you won’t kill me.”
“Kill you?” I recoil. “Why in the fuck would I do that?”
“Haven’t you seen scary movies before? The young girl alone in the woods in a strange man’s house…”
Her voice trails off, as if I know what she’s talking about. Every time this girl opens her mouth, I’m left with even more questions than answers. I should call the cops and report a break in, but I’m being led around by my short-and-curlies by this slip of a woman.
“What’s your name? And what the fuck are you doing in my house?”
My tone is a little more forceful than I would usually use with a woman, but I want answers. I’ve never been more tempted by a member of an opposite sex than I am right now. Using all my years of training, I tear my eyes away from her and search the room for the note she keeps referring to.
“You didn’t,” I groan as my eyes zero in on what used to be a contract sitting on my bedside table.
“What? I needed a piece of paper to write a note,” she quips before reaching for her bag beside the bed.
“What you should’ve done is stayed the fuck out of my house!” I bellow, causing her to bolt for the door. “Not so fast.”
I grip her arm in my hand, ensuring she doesn’t run away from me.
As soon as our skin connects, an electrical current sizzles up my arm. Her eyes widen in surprise as her cheeks flush, leaving me wondering if her blush goes down any further.
