Epilogue 1

Rory

Six Months Later

I look at the clock and then call Nate.

"Are you almost here?" I ask him.

"Tomorrow night. You had it right. This road trip thing is a blast," Nate says with a smile in his voice.

Strong arms wrap around me from behind, and I lean into my West. We’re getting married next weekend, and Nate and Mandy decided to road trip Route 66 from California to Chicago. Of course, they were supposed to be here three days ago.

"Okay, well, if you aren't here tomorrow y’all are sleeping on the floor because I'm giving your room to Kinsley."

"Doesn't she have her own place?"

"Yes, but she wants to be close for wedding planning. She’s taking the couch, but if you aren't here, then your bed is fair game."

We’ve set up the guest bedroom for Nate and Mandy anytime they want to visit. Since visiting after their honeymoon, they have been here twice. It was awkward the first time, but we got over it fast.

"Text me when you stop tonight," I say before hanging up.

West turns me in his arms, so I'm facing him on his lap. We just sit and be for a few minutes while it's quiet. We both know tomorrow the wedding week chaos starts.

"What do you think our wedding drama will be?" I ask since it seems to be a family tradition. I guess at Mom and Dad's wedding they found the best man and maid of honor getting it on in the bridal suite. The problem was they were both married to someone else. So, a little wedding theatrics has become our family’s custom.

"Besides not getting you down the aisle fast enough?" West says, and I know he is only partly joking.

"Besides that." I kiss his cheek.

"Probably my aunt hitting on your dad."

West's Aunt Jilly has a thing for married men and could care less about their wives. She hits on them relentlessly, and the last time she hit on my dad, my mom went off on her. That was at West's high school graduation.

I had never seen that side of my mom before or since, but let's just say I had to use headphones that night because they fought horizontally, if you know what I mean. Things kids should never know about their parents.

"Well, if it's a repeat of last time, it sure will be entertaining. Need to tell Nate to make sure to record it," I chuckle.

"I can't wait to marry you," he mumbles before carrying me to bed to show me how much.

Weston

We did it. We’re married. I can't believe it. This amazingly beautiful girl that I've had a crush on my whole life is now my wife.

My Wife.

I don't think I’ll ever tire of saying that. As I watch her and Nate on the dance floor, all I can think about is how I can't wait to get her back to our room tonight. She’s had a permanent smile on her face and looks so beautiful in the lace wedding dress that hugs her every curve. As for me, my dick has been hard since the moment we said I do.

When the song ends, I stand and make my way to her, pulling her into my arms. Nate gives me a knowing smile, and almost right on time, Rory's mother's voice fills the air.

"Did you not learn your lesson last time, you old hag? Lay another finger on my husband, and I’ll chop it off."

We all turn to look and find she has a steak knife in her hand.

"Not again," Nate groans. I just look at Rory, and we both start laughing.

"Well, if you could satisfy him in bed, he wouldn't be looking my way." Aunt Jilly says, and the entire room gasps.
