"Uriel…" he kissed my shoulder. "Yes, I felt you. I felt your distress and your sadness, and it made me hurt for you. I don't want my precious mate hurting over stupid things," he whispered huskily. "I want my bunny happy, prancing around the palace in her beautiful dresses and laughing at the silliest things." Luci's hand went up my dress, feeling my bare bum. "You are not wearing any underwear." I felt his sausage twitch.
"I-I thought we could do something when we got home," I blushed. I really wanted playtime, all the time, especially when he licked my tingly spot. That was the best. "I didn't want you to rip my panties again," I rubbed my donut against Luci's sausage again.
"Is that so?" his hand gripped my bum. "I'll try my best to get you more underwear so I can do it whenever I want. I enjoy ripping clothes off of you," a smirk played on his lips before he kissed me. Humming into his mouth, I could taste a hint of smoke. It reminded me of a burnt marshmallow.
Luci's wings came down from their defensive hold and folded into his body. My, much smaller, wings retracted as well as his hands trailed up my back. Luci groaned into the kiss, his hand now cupping my breast. His sharp claw thrummed my nipple, causing me to break the kiss to throw my head back.
"Ew, gross!" Loki's voice exclaimed from the doorway. Luci grabbed me, his wings flying back out instantly to cover me. "I just got the perfect view of your mate's ass, Luci! You’ve got to learn to not blow down doors with your temper tantrums."
"Loki! Bad word!" I scolded. Luci's grip became unbearably tight before I gasped. Feeling a blanket thrown on me in an instant, Luci flew off the bed to chase a screaming Loki down the hall.
Now I was all tingly and wet. I huffed in annoyance.
As I was making the bed and cleaning the room, Luci walked back in with his hands in his pockets muttering out an apology before pulling me to him.
"I'm hungry,” I pouted, wrapping my arms around his waist. Luci only smiled before biting his bottom lip and then rolling his tongue across it. As delicious as he looked, I needed actual sustenance, notthatsnack.
"Like actual food," I poked his chest. Again, he pushed his hips into me.
Narrowing my eyes at him, he laughed joyously before picking me up and wrapping my legs around him. Kissing me on the lips and diving his tongue into me, he lets them go with a smack. "Fates, you taste like apple pie," he growled playfully. I shook my head, not liking the sound of tasting like pie.
That wasn't the best dessert.
"Oh?" he raised a brow. "Then what do you taste like?" I hummed, thinking as he walked over the flaming bedroom doors with his bare feet. The doors began to crumble beneath him.
My mate is so strong.
"A cupcake!" I quipped until I leaned in closer to tell him a secret. "A danger cupcake!" I giggled.
Danger cupcakes were special. Sometimes they had cinnamon or were topped with peppermint, giving them a little kick in the patootie for your mouth.
"I see," Luci pulled my lips from his ear. "That's great because I love danger cupcakes." Luci's mouth descended on my lips as I squealed in laughter.
Wiggling down, I pranced away from him, turning back to see if he would follow. His feet led him to me faster until I turned and flashed him my butt—that didn't have any panties covering it.
"That is one scrumptious-looking cupcake," he warned. "Think I need to take a bite out of it!" I squealed again, running down the hallway.
Now my bum was no longer my bum but a big cupcake for Luci.
Chapter 36
Hera
Luciferlungedtowardsme, his eyes were red with black seeping down his eyes like cobwebs. Looking at my beloved daughter one more time, I covered myself with my arm, blinking twice to end the apparition. I fell from the table I stood on, my loving mate, Michael, catching me in his arms.
Falling lifelessly, being cradled into his chest, I pulled at his loose tunic as he carried me to the couch. It was a simple living accommodation that we had acquired on Earth in one of the many hotels that Zeus owned. He would never know we were here, in this apartment building, because I oversaw the real estate properties on Earth.
This typical apartment was a basic one-bedroom. It had beautiful granite countertops in the kitchen and large, bay windows in the living room overlooking the New York skyline. The square footage was incomparably more petite than our home back in the Celestial Kingdom, but this was all we needed. A place to sleep, hide, and confide in each other as we searched for the lurking evil.
“Did you hear it all?” I whimpered into Michael’s chest. He pushed back my laurel crown, setting it on the table before us. Humming to my forehead, he graced it with a gentle kiss.
“I did, my love.” His voice was filled with disappointment. I could feel the pity emanating from him as I stared up at the ceiling, unable to look him in the eyes.
He told me countless times not to bring those forbidden plants into our home, but I did so carelessly. They had been known to weaken powers, especially those of young gods, and I had to do everything I could to protect my daughter. I just didn’t know the mixture of the various plants would stunt her growth.
The night we were told she would die and soon all life with it, I had to do something. We did not know what evil was coming for her and, who knows, it could have been Zeus. I couldn’t ask for help from him. He was still upset that I had found a mate, while he had not. I left him in the blink of an eye to be with Michael, whom I had already fallen in love with long before Ember found our souls to be bonded.
Zeus was the number one suspect. I had to hide Uriel’s powers, so he could not detect them in the Celestial Kingdom. I couldn’t just stop my job as his assistant; it would bring too much attention. We had to make do, so I had to hide her. Surely Uriel could see that?
