“Yes! I will be safe!” She fell apart in my arms. Her hips thrust along with mine as her orgasm rode out long and hard. I held myself back, feeling her wetness fall from her cavern and all over my cock. The slickness fueled the fire for me to finish inside.
She was a fucking squirter.
“Damnit Uriel.” With her pulling my feathers, I came undone. My ass clenched as her hand went down my pants holding on to my tense, muscular cheeks. Her nails scratched while her lips stroked my neck. Shivers ran down my spine, and my feathers shook with the aftershocks. My seed spilled into her, and her body fell limp as I held her to the wall.
“I can’t lose you. Do you understand?” My lips kissed her now bruised and love-bitten neck. “I would destroy everything in my path if anything happened to you.”
“You won’t lose me,” she muttered, her head resting on my shoulder. “I just want you and everyone safe too,” she whispered, tears springing to her eyes.
“That’s why I’m here, to take care of you.” Kissing her temple, I sat her down on both her feet, straightening her dress. She pulled her hair behind her back while I buckled my pants. Her body was weak from the exertion, so I picked her up and carried her back to our bedroom.
The lights were already dimmed, obscuring the monsters in the hallway strapping on their battle armor. Silas stood outside the bedroom that Uriel and I shared with a spear in hand. Loki stood with him. His horns now looked longer, stronger, and dare I say, he looked taller?
I laid Uriel on the soft sheets. She whined, feeling me sit on the bed rather than lay beside her.
“I have to go,” I muttered to her. Her eyes were heavy.
As much as I wanted to curl up with her in my arms and take care of her, over and over, through the night, I had to do this for our future. I had to protect her, keep her always, and make sure that the future was still bright for the innocent. If Uriel were taken, all the innocent lives of the world would disappear.
“Please don’t,” she whispered. “I can’t lose you either, Luci.”
I chuckled, a smirk forming on my lips. “Do you have that little faith in me?” Her eyes widened for a moment, but my lips silenced her before she could speak.
“I will be back, and until then, you can feel me here.” I touched the flame mark on her chest. “Normally a bonded couple spends weeks together to solidify the bond further, but if this isn’t taken care of now, there may not be a future for us to share.”
Uriel nodded in understanding, her hand taking mine and kissing my fingers. “Come back to me.” She cried, pushing herself off the bed before she wrapped her arms around me.
My wings drooped, my heart aching with the pain of leaving her here in a different realm. To be separated from her would hurt us both, but I would protect her at all costs.
“Do as I say,” I whispered in her ear. “Be my good girl.” Feeling her small kiss on my shoulder, I stood up from the bed. “Sleep, Uriel. It will all be over soon.” Taking my hand and putting it across her eyes, her body slumped with her eyes closed, and I tucked her into the bed.
Backing away, I headed to the door, taking one last look at my sleeping mate before locking her in and creating a ward that no one could penetrate.
Hopefully, she will stay there and not venture out.
“Take care of her,” I growled to Silas. His narrow slits in his eyes only looked to the ground, bowing with his arm over his chest.
“And you…” I investigated Loki’s eyes. They were not filled with the playful look he normally had, they held only fear of the unknown. “Keep you and her safe.” I put my hand between his horns, ruffling his hair.
Loki didn’t argue back. He jumped forward, pulling me into a hug. “Bring Mom and Dad back please.” Loki sniffed. “Tell them I won’t cause mischief anymore.”
Grunting, I kneeled to the floor. He had grown a head taller since arriving to Poseidon’s palace. It could have been his raven emerging or the fact he was getting older, but I now looked up at him, holding his hand.
“You know Mother and Father don’t want you to change, right?” Loki’s head cocked to the side reminding me of a bird. Smirking, I squeezed his hand. “The God of Mischief is who you are, they don’t want you to deny who you are. They have been hit with giving birth to our sister while worrying about me, and now Uriel’s prophecy and our bond. They have not forgotten you. It’s a hard transition from adolescence to a teenager.”
Loki sniffed, shuffling his feet. This was the most I had spoken to him our entire lives. I’m sure it was uncomfortable for him.
“Loki, you are my brother. I’ve dealt with a lot over the years, things that I kept inside to keep away from you so that you did not have to feel the burden. As you brother, I care for you, I will protect you, and our family. That is all that our parents are trying to do for us as well. Never change, you were made in their image, as was I. You will find yourself such as I have, once you find your mate.”
Loki squeezed my hand as I stood. He slung his arms around my body, and his head almost reached the top of my chest. Rubbing his head once more with my calloused hands, I turned to Silas. The unspoken words we exchanged only confirmed he would protect my family with his life.
My slow walk down the hall to the receiving room was filled with tension. Snarls of nagas, centaurs, and minotaurs, and Poseidon’s other creatures echoed through the room. Each creature held their own weapons, some of which I had never seen before. Turning my head in question to Poseidon, his head tilted to the open doorway to the god whom I had seen only a handful of times.
His reclusiveness with his mate only made me smile at how vehemently he rejected the idea of living amongst the gods. He preferred the simple life, living with my grandparents in the Black Claw Pack of Earth.
“Vulcan,” I muttered, walking towards him.
His arms outstretched, pulling me into a hug. “Just because I like to stay away from the drama of it all doesn’t mean I don’t know things.” He patted my shoulder.
