“Josh told Nonna that he saw you and she texted me.”
“Josh’s grandmother texted you?”
“Yep.”
“Nonna texted you?” Grace questioned again.
“We’re tight,” Viv explained.
“You are?”
“Yes. We’ve been working on a project together.”
What ‘project’ could Viv and Nonna have to work on?
“Anyway, I’ll be back in town tonight. Let’s all meet for dinner at Sue Ann’s at six.”
“Okay.” Grace was still planning on heading over to Brewed Awakenings to see Audrey this morning. She really missed her baby sister, plus, she was feeling a little out of sorts after last night and this morning and Audrey always had a calming effect on Grace.
As if reading her mind, Viv instructed, “Do not go to the coffee shop before dinner.”
“What? Why not?”
“Because if you do, you’ll tell Aud what’s going on and we should all hear it together.”
Middle sibling syndrome was apparently not something that Viv was growing out of. Her FOMO was on another level.
“Fine,” Grace agreed because it was easier than arguing. Plus, now that she lived here, she knew that there would be plenty of time to see her sisters. “But I’m going to let them know I’m here.”
“Fine,” Viv almost sounded disappointed that they would even know that Grace was in town. “See you tonight, love you.”
“Love you.”
The call disconnected and Grace thought that not seeing her sisters until this evening might actually be for the best. It meant today would be freed up so she could look into some real estate options. She needed to hit the ground running with her new life and finding a place to live was the first thing on her to-do list.
Second, was finding out more about Easton Bishop, because she had a feeling last night had just scratched the surface.
