“Aww,” Millie says. “Nash, who knew you were such a flatterer?”

Raine starts herding the ladies into the house like a little sheepdog. “Have fun, guys. We’ll see you later.”

As the door closes behind them, Mason looks over at Nash. “How much of a head start should we give them? Fifteen minutes?”

“You and I can head out when we hear them leave,” Nash says. “I know a back way that’ll get us there before them. Butch, you and Alex follow in about fifteen and tail them.”

“Roger that,” I say. “Where should we meet you?”

“Taylors. It’s right across the street from the Ant. They have a big courtyard out front. Perfect place for us to set up.”

“So wait, we are going to Big Bear?” Alex says, his eyes narrowing. “We said we weren’t. They’re going to be pissed when we show up.”

“First of all,” I say. “I guarantee Millie and Raine already know we’re coming.”

“No doubt about it,” Mason says, standing up and draining the rest of his beer.

“And second, we’ve done surveillance for about twenty years,” I say, closing my eyes to get a quick ten before we head out. “They won’t see us unless they need to see us.”

When their car starts, I hear Nash stand up. “Let’s roll, Mason. We’ll see you two over there.”

“Yep,” I say, pulling my cap over my eyes. “Wake me up in ten, Alex.”
