“Thanks for the save, man. That’s the last thing I want to talk about right now.”
“The last thing? Really?” He shakes his head. “I thought I’d save you from that topic because later—when it’s just the guys around this table—you’re going to get destroyed for how loud you are during sex.”
I jerk my head back. “What?”
“Do you think we didn’t hear that? Unfortunately for everyone, sound travels better on the water.”
I start rubbing my face. “Oh God, this is horrible news. Did everyone hear?”
“Everyone in the world heard. Like people in China are talking about how loud you are. I’m never going to un-hear that, asshole.”
“Well, now we’re even. I heard you and Sophie on that road trip in Atlanta and I still have nightmares about it.”
Raine pulls on my hand and stretches up to whisper in my ear. “Sophie said everyone heard us.”
“Yep,” I say, squeezing her hand. “That’s what Seb said. Do you want to run? Or should we own it?”
She pauses for a second and then says, “Own it.”
“Then own it, we will,” I say as I kiss her forehead.
As I slide my arm around her shoulders, Sophie tugs on my arm from the other side of Raine. When I look over, her face is scrunched up with tears starting to form in her eyes. I push her shoulder and roll my eyes then quickly bury my face in Raine’s hair to prevent her from seeing the smile that’s exploding all over my face.
