He grabs my hair and pulls on it, making me lower my face to his. “You’ll be mine in more ways than you could ever have imagined.”
“What does that mean?” I ask, my question nothing more than a whispered moan as I chase my impending orgasm.
He swears and turns his gaze away from me for a second before facing back towards me. “Nothing, forget it.”
“No,” I tell him as I grab his chin and make him look at me. “What is it you’re not telling me?”
“Fuck, guys,”
I jump when I look over Archer’s shoulder to find Vee, Rafe and Seb have all just come up onto the roof.
“Oh shit,” I hiss as I cower into Archer’s body to shield the fact that I’m wearing nothing but a black lacey thong and I currently have Archer’s fingers inside of me.
Seb chuckles. “Looks like Arch and Little Red started the celebrations without us. Welcome to the family,” he says, grinning. “I say we go party and celebrate. What do you say?”
“Can you, like, all turn around, I’m kind of more or less naked here, Seb,” I hiss, exasperated at him chatting away like walking in on us is a normal everyday occurrence.
Vee gives me an apologetic smile before she shoves at her brother and makes him turn away. I lift myself up off Archer and, keeping my eyes on Seb and Rafe to make sure they haven’t turned back around, I dress at record speed.
“We’re done,” Archer announces, standing up and picking up his mask from the bench. He isn’t at all bothered by what we were just caught doing.
Seb spins around and waggling his brows at me, he replies, “I don’t think Little Red was done.”
“Funny,” I hiss, grabbing my mask and stomping past him. It’s hard staying mad at Seb though, he’s just so easy-going.
“You four can do what the hell you like. I have a fight to get to.”
“A fight?” Rafe asks, looking from Archer to me.
“Yes, a fight. You know. Where two people get in a ring and hit each other until one of them wins,” I reply sarcastically, tapping my foot in annoyance. I’m itching to get in that ring and welcome the pain.
“You’re the new girl fighting tonight. The Red Raven?” Rafe asks, the surprise clear in his tone.
“That’s me.”
Rafe looks at Archer. “Did you know it was her when you placed your bet?”
Archer looks over at me, and he nods his head. His face is devoid of any emotion. “I had a hunch it was her.”
“Well, you better be good, Little Red, because if you lose, Archer here can kiss goodbye to twenty grand.”
My eyes bug out of my head, and I stop in my tracks. “Say it again? Did you just say twenty fucking grand?!”
“Seb,” Archer says in a warning tone.
“Twenty, baby,” Seb repeats, grinning at me while I stand there open-mouthed staring after Archer who is climbing into his car.
“You can’t fight in that dress. Here,” he throws a bag on my lap and when I look inside, there’s a pair of my gym shorts and a sports bra, there are also my clothes from that first night I arrived in the bay when I took a plummet into the sea. I’d forgotten he had these. How on earth did he manage to get my shorts and sports bra?
“You’re taking me to the fight?” I say in surprise, as I climb into the car and take the seat next to him.
“I put good money on you tonight and I intend to see you win.” He starts the engine, just as Seb climbs in the back and closes the door.
“How do you know I’m any good?”
He shrugs his shoulder as he pulls away from the clubhouse. “Just a hunch. Besides, if you lose tonight, I’ll spank you until your arse is red raw.”
“Promises, promises,” I say with a grin, and he actually smiles at me with a look that says, be careful what you wish for.
