“Let’s look it up,” I grabbed my phone.
“Amber’s slipping into research mode. Somebody top up her glass before we lose her,” Ruby teased.
I held out my hand. “Good Lord,” I breathed. “I’m feeling all kinds of things about this, not all of them bad.”
They leaned over and studied the pictures on my screen.
“I like that one,” Minty pointed.
I turned my head to look at her, laughing. “The piercing or the penis?”
She turned back to the screen. “Both? It doesn’t matter to me too much how it looks.”
Ruby held up her finger. “It’s the magic in the wand, not the wand itself, that’s important.”
“It does have magical properties,” I sighed. “My vagina’s going to close up.”
“Don’t you have a vibrator?” Minty asked.
“Not here,” I admitted. “They’re all at the house.”
Minty’s mouth dropped open. “Why’d you leave them?”
I shrugged. “I only ever played with them with Gus.”
“Ahhh,” Ruby screamed. “Too much information!”
Minty giggled, and I snorted. Minty never giggled.
“Finish the damn review! And tomorrow infiltrate your house and get your vibrators. Hopefully Minty’s movie choices will give you some good material.” Ruby demanded.
“This book gave me plenty of good material,” I said ruefully.
Minty’s fingers flew over the keyboard once again, recording while I spoke over her shoulder.
Submission means more than kneeling, (that’s the fun part), it signifies trust. The willingness to be vulnerable, not only with her body, but with her heart.
If you picked up this book looking for the steam, you will not be disappointed, but it’s so much more.
It’s about dominance and submission, care and vulnerability, protection and trust, commitment and love.
And second chances.
Thank the gods for second chances.
Minty sat back with her glass of wine and swung her attention to Ruby. “So, tell me about hunkalicious.”
Ruby laughed. “What do you want to know?”
I snickered, knowing exactly what Minty wanted to know. “She wants to know everything.”
Minty took a sip of her wine and smiled. “She’s not wrong.”
“You want the good or the bad first?”
“Mm, the bad,” Minty said.
“He’s pushy. He kind of steamrolls over me at times, like how he did with the franchising. He’s pushing for Jace and me to move in with him, he pushed me to meet his son, George, as well. When he wants something, he pushes. He can be sarcastic and snarky. Sometimes he’s impatient.”
