“I like that.” Her words and expression don’t quite match, but I don’t think it’s because she has a problem with seeing where it goes. More like, she wishes I’d say more.
“Though, I do feel the need to remind you that two days ago I couldn’t even get you to answer the phone,” I joke.
“I feel differently than I did two days ago.” She smirks.
“Me too,” I admit, because, well, another truth.
Damn, who knew I was capable of sitting in a room with her and actually being honest. Though, there’s a hell of a lot I still haven’t said. Omission of the truth is still lying, as my mother has always said.
“So, what do you want to do tonight?”
I arch a suggestive brow.
“You’re insatiable.” The perfect pink color spreads up her neck.
“When it comes to you, yes, yes I am.” I tug her toward me, my mouth finding hers, officially ending any and all conversation for the time being.
